I loved this book! What a wonderful, uplifting book written by a wonderful lady! A quick and easy Christian read on how to live the "good life" with, among else, suggestions on how to simplify yours spaces, your time and your life which is perfect for the New Year.
Emily Ley has a very important message: live your life with appreciation and gratitude, enjoy every simple moment without rushing and live your life showing grace to yourself. One of my favourite phrases was this: " ...I realised that the peace of contentment is just as valuable as the confetti that comes with achievement."

This was my first book by this author. I had heard such great things about this book and author.. and every word was true.. this was a great, uplifting book.

This was a great book. I have heard of Emily Let, because I'm a planner Nerd and love her Simplified planners! She gives alot of good advice and helps for people struggling with perfection.
"Happiness isn't found in the prettiest Instagram feed or in a large number of Facebook friends. True joy isn't found in having it all together. You are enough, despite what the world tells you."

I really enjoyed this book, I have returned to it numerous times and dipped in and out of it when I have needed inspiration and a little extra motivation in my day.
A lovely book for a gift to yourself or others.

This will probably be a shorter post, because I don't really have a whole lot to say about this book. I will say that I enjoyed it more than Girl Wash Your Face because it seemed a whole lot less preachy to me. The author, Emily Ley, runs her own planner company and has three kids, and just seems a whole lot more personable and down to Earth than the vibe I got from Hollis. She seems to actually be like every other mom out there, not like she pretends to be so that she can be #relatable.

This book wasn't a very long one, but it took me a while to read because of the other things I had going in my life. It was a cute, well organized read, but there wasn't any new or groundbreaking information in it. It was like almost every other Christian based self help book I had read before, with pretty pictures included. I will say that I checked out the print copy at one of our local libraries, because the format of the layout looked atrocious on my phone, and it was a whole lot better in print.

Grace Not Perfection was published in October of 2016. If you're looking for something similar to "Wash Your Face" then this would be a good choice!

I did not get a whole lot out of this book as I have read what feels like the same that over and over from so many other writers lately. However, this was a great read and one I would recommend highly to other women.

I will hold myself to a standard of grace, not perfection......Indeed i will.

Emily Ley is beyond inspiring and encouraging and is the perfect mix to keep you uplifted and feeling good!! This is a book all women can benefit from.

Emily is realistic and makes you want to soak up every word she is saying! Simply so inspiring!! It’s a practical self help book not just for moms but all women! It’s easy to follow and leaves you feeling uplifted and inspire to conquer the world!

As a stay at home mom and a work from home mom, I always would compare myself to others. I would look at what someone else was doing or wasn't doing and thought I should be doing that too. But God did not make us like each other, we all have our own homes and own lives. I have learned a lot about myself reading this book and realizing that God has made us our own. This book is for anyone who seems to need a little encouragement and knowing that God has a reason for us being different in this world.

I have been wanting to read this since hearing Emily speak on Jen Hatmaker’s podcast. I was so lucky when Netgalley granted me this book as a wish, as I have been unable to find it anywhere here. Which is crazy to me because I literally live in Pensacola, the same place as the author. Unfortunately I didn’t love this book as much as I hoped. To begin with the formatting for the kindle version I received was AWFUL. Sentences would begin on one page and finish three pages later, or often you would get the second half of the sentence before the first. It was basically a choose your own adventure I didn’t choose. Still it was readable. She seems very sweet and loving and had some great points about remembering to be in the now and to appreciate what you have, but it was pretty generalized and honestly there just wasn’t enough content to warrant a book. I do think perhaps this is better suited towards mothers of young children.

I have read all of Emily Ley's books and this is no exception. It was a great read, and very inspiring for female entrepreneurs.

I want to hand this book to all the women I know who have young children right now. Even not being a mother myself I got a lot of little tidbits of wisdom from this book. Emily Ley brings the same simplicity to this book that she brings to her planners. Lots of practical advise with little fluff. She tells just enough stories to bring her points to life, unlike a lot of other books in the self help genre. The only part I find ironic is that Emily Ley stresses not to live a Pinterest perfect live, but then her book is filled with beautifully curated and edited photos, some from her real life, and others are very clearly staged. It's not a big fuss. I understand that you still need beauty to sell a book!

I couldn't get into this book, no matter how many times I tried. Maybe because I'm not as religious or I live a different kind of life? I don't know. Truth is that it didn't engage me and I'm sorry about that, because I truly wanted to enjoy this book.

I actually went out and bought two copies of this book halfway through my reading of the ebook - one for me, and one for a friend. The actual physical book is SO beautiful and aesthetically pleasing!!! The pictures, the colors, the pages, everything is go beautiful and I LOVE it. I will most likely buy this one for more women as gifts in the future. I love how Emily is so honest about her own experiences in her life - the good, the bad, and the ugly. I love how she gives easy and practical advice on how she does things in her own life - in her family, her home, etc. I can't say enough good things about this one!

This book is a thoughtful and honest story geared toward other Christian moms. For any mom struggling with wanting to do everything perfectly, this book will give you permission to exist rather than more pressure to over perform.

Note: this book is heavily focused on being a mom. I wish I had realized that before picking it up because I am not a mom, nor will I be in the foreseeable future.

Emily Lee is the epitome of Grace and Perfection. If you look at her YouTube videos and see her immaculate wardrobe, house, and office space and you will see. She is on top of it and I love it. I love the fact that her office is put together and neat, much like the right rest of her life. In this book she tells how to strive for that perfect balance. Well not really balance because instead of perfection you’ll be looking for Grace. This book has inspired me to not give up and keep pushing forward to the next step. Emily Ley is such a great writer. I love that she really drives home simplifying our lives and letting go of guilt. It's especially a great book for overwhelmed moms.

Grace, Not Perfection is one of my all-time favorites! Emily Ley is inspiring, informative, and totally encouraging for everyday life. Highly recommend to EVERY SINGLE WOMAN OUT THERE.

This is such a well written book.. Its an easy read but deff more for mommies. As a christian i relate and picked up a few things and as a caregiver but if I had my own kids it would have been a lot better and I will deff save this one.
