It was ok. I'm not sure why the main characters got together at the end. they didn't seem to have much more chemistry that the guy she was with at the beginning. I wish they got to know each other better it was all kinda shallow.

I received an arc of this title from NetGalley for an honest review. Author Tara Sue Me knows how to write a steamy, hot and tantalizing read. Don't read this at work or in public. Good steamy story with excellent characters.

Get lost in the world of BDSM…

A novice and a master. Learning and teaching. Protocol and rules were abundant and so were the reactions and feelings to them. Andie knew very little about BDSM but was eager to learn. Fulton was skeptical. Paired together at the RACK Academy, an elite school for kink, they were both getting an education. And so was I…

I liked a lot about this story – the writing was (as always) stellar and the characters were interesting and engaging. I have read my fair share of BDSM romance so learning from the beginning felt a bit wearing but anyone new would have enjoyed the clear laying out of expectations. The main characters fit together well and had their fair share of chemistry, contributing to the higher than high heat factor that burned throughout. While I may not have loved their romance as much as I wanted to – I liked both Andie and Fulton but didn’t connect to them the way I wanted to.

Despite that, the RACK, and the glimpses of what is to come in the series, has my attention…

Master Professor by Tara Sue Me
5 stars

I have always enjoyed the impeccable writing of Tara Sue Me. Her books never disappoint and are always giving more than you can hope for. The detail, storyline, chemistry of characters, passion and sometimes heartache make her books keep me coming back for more.

Andie is wondering if she lost her mind agreeing to spend her summer enrolled in an exclusive BDSM school In Portland instead of interning as a chef like she originally planned in Seattle. She wanted to be trained as a submissive once she found out her boyfriend was a Dom and interested in a lifestyle she knew nothing about. Andie was more excited than nervous about being enrolled. Thoughts of submitting to Terrence fueled her fantasies. She dreamed of the day she could give her whole self to him.

Terrence is two years older than Andie and they had been friends since he was nine. They lived across the street from one another and were inseparable. Even after Terrence left for Hollywood and became a household name at nineteen, their friendship remained strong. And as time went on, it grew into something more. He loved how she wanted him for him and not for his celebrity status.

Terrence was unexpectedly called out to a set he was an actor on and was sending Andie to be trained as a submissive by another Dom. As much as he wanted to be the one to train her he trusted the school and had no hesitations that she'd be safe and cared for.

Once Andie started her classes she started question her thoughts about what she wanted. Not only was she seeing the BDSM lifestyle in a different way she was also second guessing Terrance. She didn't know if it was because she truly was having a change of heart or only getting lost in the moment of her training. She could see that you could mix up your heart and bond with your Dom, but was it just that or more with Master Matthews?

Before leaving for the training Terrence had given Andie a free pass to be with others and experience the training fully. His only stipulation was that she remain a virgin for him. The free pass wasn’t making her feel better about her experience and thoughts. It was making her feel worse. Andie feared it would do the opposite of what he intended... Andie’s training at the academy was supposed to bring them together. So why did it feel like it was tearing them apart?

I really wanted more from this story... more time with the characters, more details, more about the school, more about the secondary characters...  you get the point.  I am looking forward to more in this series but let's chat about this first one.

We start this story by meeting Andie who is a virgin and is dating Terrence, a man she's known forever but only recently made the transition to dating.  He's a huge star but he has a secret he only recently shared with her...  he's a Dom.  So we learn that he's arranged for her to enter this school that teaches the BDSM community and, in particular, Doms/Subs.  She's unsure but she knows she wants Terrence and as she researched the BDSM community she found that this kicked off a new level of fantasy she never imagined.  She's a bit of a mystery as we start the story because you wonder why she was so willing to do this and not demand more from the man she supposedly loves.

When we meet Fulton Matthews we don't get the best impression of him or how he treats others.  He's very opinionated but he does own up to mistakes and the fact that he judged her before he really gave her a chance.  He's got his own issues to work through as the story progresses but I did enjoy getting to know him.  I also enjoyed the fact that he was honorable even as he was hoping for things to go his way.  He's drawn to her even as he knows he shouldn't be but he really tries to not cross the line.  I also have to admit that he made a lot of valid points with her but mainly he did what was right which was to not interfere when Terrence comes to visit.  He did piss me off in the later stages of the book but that's to be expected as we have to have the bad to make the good that much sweeter.

I had issues with this whole idea, no matter how presented, of "taking a break" or "granting a pass" in order for your lover to be trained to be perfect for you.  I just don't think that this is an idea that sits well with me but I did enjoy the book.  I am definitely ready for more of this series and cannot wait until we get more of the others stories... yeah... I want to know more about the lover/best friend and what happened.

Andie is ready to explore the world of BDSM to please her boyfriend but the one question she will be asked is why? Is she really ready to be a sub? Is she ready to let herself go and explore the sensations and all that goes with it?

Fulton is tasked with training a new sub but will have to face his biggest obstacle yet, he can't get her out of his head and risks it all to explore those feelings.

If they can push through the training and build trust they will find out that what Andie is seeking isn't for her boyfriend but herself.

An emotionally intense story filled with the perfect amount of tenderness and leaves you wanting more from these lovable characters.

I can't wait to read the next installment

An interesting start to this new spinoff from the Submissive series. I really liked the two main characters, Andie and Fulton. But I struggled a bit with the believability of the storyline. Seriously, no Dom is going to send off his submissive to be trained. The chemistry between Andie and Fulton is off the charts, and it was a sexy, enjoyable read in the end.

Book wasn't what I expected. It was too predictable and I just couldn't get into it. I did not post a review as I did not finish it.

A new series by author Tara Sue Me about a BDSM training academy. Andie comes to the school virgin needing to learn to be a submissive for her A list actor boyfriend. Only problem is her Professor Master Fulton turns her on more then her boyfriend ever has. Can Andie chose who to be with before the summer term is over?

I was a huge fan of Tara Sue Me's The Submissive series...HUGE FAN. So I was excited about this one. This book was okay for me. I didn't dislike it in any way, it just felt a little watered down to me. It kind of skirted around the edges, but never really went where I wanted it to. The romance was nice, the characters were nice but nothing was exceptional.

<i>Master Professor</i> is the first in a new series for <i>New York Times Bestselling author Tara Sue Me</i> and I was intrigued with the premise of this book from the moment I read the blurb.

Andie Lincoln is madly in love with her famous boyfriend and when she discovers he's a dominant she begs him to get her enrolled into the exclusive school <i>Rack Academy</i>. A school that teaches students how to be submissive/dominant.

With her boyfriend's crazy schedule he is unable to go with her so Andie is submissive without a dominant. Her professor Fulton Matthews wants nothing to do with teaching Andie and unfortunately for him, circumstances find him being her top.

When Andie finds herself daydreaming about her professor things start to really pick up. The chemistry between Andie and Fulton is something you grab onto right away.

The beginning was a bit slow for me but overall a great story and I totally recommend this book for those that like light BDSM stories.

I have been wanting to get my hands on a Tara Sue Me book for forever now! But given that I am a blogger, it is hard to get pleasure reading in for some reason. When I saw that she was starting a new series, I was all over it!!! I am so glad that I took a chance and pressed the request button on NetGalley.

Andie Lincoln & Fulton Matthews grew up together and ended up dating. As their relationship began to get serious, Fulton discloses to Andie that he is into the BDSM lifestyle. As she starts to wrap her brain around what BDSM is and what a relationship with Fulton would entail, she decided to go to a BDSM school that Fulton is able to get her into. She is determined to learn what it is like to be a submissive.

Fulton drops Andie off at RACK Academy where a series of events puts her in the unique position to work one-on-one with her instructor, Terrence Knight.

"Thoughts of submitting to Terrence fueled her fantasies. She dreamed of the day she could give her whole self to him."
~ Tara Sue Me, Master Professor (Lessons From the Rack #1)

Terrence is completely drawn to Andie in a way that he never expected. He cannot understand why Fulton would let another Dom train his submissive. And yet given his attraction to Andie, he continues her training, happily.

"Never had she been so turned on before, and he'd only been talking. What would she do if he were to touch her She wiggled, trying to get some relief."
~ Tara Sue Me, Master Professor (Lessons From the Rack #1)

Clearly Andie is attracted to Terrance and yet she is in a relationship with Fulton. She is torn with how to proceed with either man. Who will she choose?

"She took a few seconds of that peace and quiet to meditate on the fact that, finally, she was kneeling, waiting for the man she loved."
~ Tara Sue Me, Master Professor (Lessons From the Rack #1)

Master Professor was the perfect introduction to Tara Sue Me's writing! I am looking forward to diving into her Submissive series. This series has been on my kindle for so long and yet I have not started it. I will now! I also know that Master Professor is book 1 in a new series. I really am excited about this series!!! I can't wait to see who her next book is about.

Thank you Tara for allowing me to read Master Professor prior to its release. You have a new fan!

4.5 Stars

This book, ooooh weeee *fans self*

1. Hot
2. Sizzling
3. Scorching
4. Luscious
5. Mouthwatering

Just a few words to describe how oh-so toe-curling this book was. My-oh-my I devoured this book. 'Master Professor' intrigued me, I couldn't flip the pages fast enough. It lured me and kept me wanting more.

Terrence Knight is a Dominant, and wants his girlfriend, Andie to be trained as a submissive. So, he enrolls her in an academy that will teach her how to be just that. Terrence would teach her himself, but you see, he's a famous actor and doesn't have time due to his filming schedule. Andie loves Terrence and wants to be trained as a submissive not only because it would make Terrence happy, but also because she really wants to too.

Fulton Matthews is the director of incoming students and will be Andie's teacher. He doesn't know why she's there, he feels as though her only reason is just because of Terrence. He doesn't believe she's there on her own accord, and that she isn't taking her stay at the academy seriously. Little does he know, the joke is on him.

At first, Andie and Fulton's relationship started off rocky, but as time went on they started to be comfortable with one another. As days go by and lessons are taught, Andie's wild side is slowly unleashed. She's a good student, but only because Master Fulton is a very good teacher. Their relationship is so damn hot you need endless amounts of water to put the fire out. Andie starts developing feelings for Fulton, but she doesn't know if it's because he's bringing out her submissive side; or if it's because she truly and deeply really likes him.

I couldn't get enough of Fulton, damn that man! He was such an alpha, but he was also charming and sweet and gahhhh I just loved him! Wouldn't mind calling him Sir a couple of times. *wink face*

I can't wait for the second book. I really need to know about certain things and certain characters.

tl;dr: fascinating setting for drawn out forbidden romantic tension

***

There was already plenty of buzz about this book by the time I got my hands on it. And for good reason. The premise is titillating and unique, and has a forbidden romance that promises lots of sexytimes. Andie Lincoln has decided to get submissive training at an exclusive BDSM school, which is so exclusive that there are only ten spots for students. Her Hollywood boyfriend had to pull strings to get her in. Of course, her professor is sexy as all get out and things heat up between them fast.

Under his tutelage, she begins to learn a lot about herself and what she actually wants. Her initial questions are answered (yes, being a submissive works for her, really really works), and she begins to question whether or not her Hollywood boyfriend is really the man for her, after all.

Master Fulton Matthews, the professor in question, seems to be able to read Andie in a way that is unnerving, and becomes the first chink in her defenses. She can’t help but compare the two men, since she and Fulton are paired for play during class after one of the students drops out, and one of the largest discrepancies appears to be how in sync she is with Fulton as compared to Terrence, aka, Mr. Hollywood. He can read her body language, and anticipate her nervousness and fear, and also what turns her on. He finds himself pushing past school-sanctioned boundaries, leading to both student and teacher feeling confused about their growing feelings.

The biggest drawback for me in this story was how it started. The story begins on her first day at the school, so we don’t get to meet Terrence and see how he interacts with her outside of phone calls and text messages until the final half of the book. That can be because the author doesn’t care about Terrence and Andie, and therefore, neither do we. So there is no conflict really; since we’ve only seen Andie and Fulton interact, it’s the only relationship we’re invested in. I do appreciate that Fulton himself questions why Andie comes to this training school rather than be trained by her boyfriend, and also why she opts to go at all, but her answers are unsatisfactory. The set up was not as solid as it could have been, introducing the relationship between Andie and Terrence more fully in the opening chapters would have set the scene for WHY she decided to go to this school. My personal thought is that the author thought the set up was so unique and great that she opted to dive straight in (which, I can sort of see: it’s a great premise!) but I want to know why Andie felt so strongly that she needed to submit to Terrence, why it was so important for her to get it right.

(And, side note, we never find out why or how Fulton become a professor at a BDSM training school. That could be an interesting tale!)

TECHNICAL ELEMENTS:

Aside from a few places wording was a little confusing, I found the prose to be very good. Sometimes it was too earnest and made the characters seem too perfect. In particular, during the end conflict, Andie acts hurt and confused, but her internal monologue states that she knows the hurtful things that Fulton has said isn’t how he really feels, but yet she’s still acting like she believes it. It’s a little off-putting. Does she believe him or not? She sounds too clinical in her assessment of his words. Is she sad and hurt, or calculating? The reason that Fulton says what he says also isn’t clear; I expected to get more explanation of the why there, too, but it never came.

FINAL THOUGHTS:

There’s a lot of story to be mined from the this premise; however, I hope that future books start more believably. This book series is sort of similar to many sports romance series that I’ve read, in that you have a particular institution (in this case, a BDSM training castle, but in others, a sports team) and each segment of the series addresses a different couple or aspect of it, so they all intertwine but from different viewpoints. I personally think that starting with the owner of the training school would have been the best choice, really giving a sense of history to the place. Obviously, there’s a story there, and I hope the next book addresses it (because heck yeah, I’ll be reading it!), but I think starting the series from the foundation would have been really great.

This is one of those stories that's good, I liked it, it was a quick, fun read but it was just missing that special something for me.

I enjoyed the first half when there was an element of complication involved since Andie is at the academy being trained for someone else. I liked Andie and Fulton fighting their feelings and enjoyed that bit of conflict. I never fully got their connection even though a I liked them both as characters. They had some fun interactions. The second half was just okay and rather drawn out to me. I felt like this was a low heat kind of book. Which is totally okay, but since they were at a BDSM academy, I was just expecting a higher heat factor. It was still nice but had more of a slow burn feel to me.

Good writing and story, decent conflict and drama. It wrapped up nice and easy. I enjoyed it but could easily put it down and walk away. There was definitely a sweet, low heat, love story happening. Nice introduction to a new series. A good read if you're looking for something on the lighter side that’s not to taxing. So, good. :-)

A great start to a new series! I really enjoyed every moment and could hardly put this book down. I loved the dynamics that were involved but was sadly wishing that they could be a threesome but that is a much different story I'm sure. Everything was great and then the ending....... I can't wait for the second book and finding out more about Mariela and Master MacLure.

MASTER PROFESSOR is the first instalment in Tara Sue Me’s new contemporary, adult LESSONS FROM THE RACK erotic, BDSM romance series. This is Dominant Master Fulton Matthews, and wanna-be submissive Andie Lincoln’s story line.

Told from dual third person perspectives (Fulton and Andie) MASTER PROFESSOR follows the building relationship between Andie Lincoln and Fulton Matthews. Andie’s boyfriend is A-list actor Terrence Knight and a Dominant, and Andie has agreed to a three month ‘education’ as a submissive at the exclusive and elite BDSM learning centre known as the RACK Academy owned by Terrence’s friend and fellow Dominant Lennox MacLure. Enter Master Fulton Matthews, Andie’s BDSM professor, and the man with whom Andie will fall in love.

Andie is a woman trying desperately to please the man she thought she loved. When Terrence revealed he was a Dominant, Andie considered it a life-changing alternative but never expected to fall in love with the man whose entire life revolves around his Dominant attitude. Fulton Matthews has never collared a submissive but something about Andie Lincoln calls to his heart-a heart that has been frozen for a number of years.

The relationship between Andie and Fulton begins as a professional arrangement-a Dominant/submissive educational experience that turns into something more. The BDSM and $ex scenes are erotic and intense, including bondage, spanking, punishments, demonstrations and submission.

We are introduced to Andie’s boyfriend, actor Terrence Knight, as well as her roommate at school Maggie; the RACK’s owner Dominant Lennox MacLure, and the RACK’s dance instructor and resident submissive Mariela. Mariela is a woman in love with a man whose lost in a world of guilt and pain.

When it was announced that Tara Sue Me was writing a new series I was hoping for something different but there are a number of similarities with her Submissive series that cannot be ignored-an innocent virgin/submissive and a Dominant alpha male who fall in love towards a happily ever after but that’s not to say it makes the story line any less interesting. Even the supporting characters (Lennox and Mariela) are familiar within the story line context.

MASTER PROFESSOR is a provocative but familiar story line of one man’s struggle to remain professional, and one woman’s battle between her heart and her head. The premise is consuming; the characters are colorful and passionate; the romance is seductive, erotic and intense. MASTER PROFESSOR is an energetic and provocative look at one woman’s journey into submission.

This book is about Andie who is joining the academy for learning about submissive / dominant ways and how to be one in best possible way.
She wants to learn how to be a good submissive for her great love Terrance who is a Dom and do everything to please him.
Fulton Mathews is one of the teachers at the academy and the one who is assigned to be Andie’s mentor. At first he is very dismissive of her and thinks she is there for all the wrong reasons but as the time goes his opinions change and Andie’s feelings do too.
So she questions herself if it’s Terrence who she is there for anymore or is it someone else?

This book started off with a thunder and promise for more to come but then it lost its power and pace was slower then what I prefer and didn’t quite keep my interest.
And it was also pretty obvious what was going to happen and what the end result would be.
After the first half of the book and towards the end the pace picked up again but not dramatically more.

I did liked the plot and the characters chemistry was just as one would expect from Tara Sue Me.
They were developed well but I wish for more fierceness and power in them both.
Side characters and their story kept bouncing up in the book and it kind of ended up with them and that was refreshing and surprising.

It’s being told from both Andie’s and Fulton’s POV and that is always a winner for me because I love to read about both sides and how they think and feel.

A good story which I definitely enjoyed but could have been made out into more fabulous and captivating way that we are used to from this author.
I absolutely loved the sneak peak for her next book at the end and am looking forward to it very much and have big expectations for it which I am positive will be satisfied and more.
