Summer of Irreverence -- The Rock Star is a good fit for readers looking for a heartfelt exploration of finding love and learning to believe in it, even when it seems impossible, all wrapped up in a lighthearted, slow-paced contemporary romance.

Good day! Before anything else, I would like to extend my deepest, sincerest gratitude for sending me a digital review copy of this book (via NetGalley). Thank you very much for the opportunity!

Unfortunately, I am sad to say that I have lost interest in this particular title, and consequently, I have decided against finishing it. Forcing myself to finish a book I am disinterested in (solely for the sake of finishing it) can only negatively impact the entirety of my reading experience, which, in turn, could result in me writing an unfairly negative review. That is a circumstance I hope to avoid. With that said, I believe that the best course of action is for me to simply not read it and to refrain from publicly posting any feedback regarding this book.

I hope you understand where I'm coming from. Again, thank you for the lovely opportunity!

I love love loved this book! Great summer read!

Summer and Malcolm have a story like no other! I loved the unexpected slow burn romance that they have and despite their pasts and the trials that their relationship went through they all got their happy ever after ending.

I loved this book...it was such a different take on a normal rock star love story. Both the main characters i feel in love with and the main twist was heart breaking but so believable. It was so refreshing to read a rock star romance where the rock star grew up....it was like a coming of age story for us older readers....total love.
Would highly recommend.

Malcolm Angel is a famous rock star who believes nothing about love. Malcolm has a different woman every night until he met Summer. Summer is a veterinary surgeon who also doesn’t believe in love. Before Summer works on her dream career as a veterinary surgeon Summer wants a summer of just fun. Summer’s parents had died when she was sixteen. Summer had one act of rebellion that played a part in her parents death. Summer had a chance to be with Mr. Perfect- Brad but he doesn’t excite her in the bedroom. Every else Brad is controlling. Summer.s best friends husband manages Malcolm band and Summer meets Malcolm and Summer goes to his room. Malcolm had a dog who was getting on in years but he loved the dog. Summer thinks for herself and stands up for herself and others when it is against her beliefs or common decency. He sees beyond who Summer is pretending to be.
I really like this book. It was a fun and easy read. It had my attention all the way through this book. I feel Winston definitely added to the story. This was well written with a good plot. This story made me chuckle at times and choked me up at times It had a good ending. I loved how Summer helped Malcolm believe he does deserve love. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this book and I recommend.
