This is my first time reading a Calista Fox noveland while I enjoyed it for the most part it didn't pull me in. It took me a while to get through the book because it didn't hold my attention and the characters felt like characters. Not like real people. I like to feel like the book is real and this just didn't do that for me.

What a great way to end a fantastic series. If you have read the first 2 books in the Burned Deep Trilogy and loved them then I am happy to say that this will not disappoint.

Book 3 picks up right where book 2 ended – Dane and Ari are trying to figure out who is trying to kill them and why. Similar to the first 2 there is a lot of romance and suspense and now we finally get to find out why all of the things that have been happening to Dane and Ari. We do get to see others in the group especially Kyle the faithful best friend to Ari and Amano who has sworn to protect Dane and his family no matter what.

As with the other books, this story is told completely from Ari’s POV as it should be. Ms. Fox really puts you in her shoes and while I really want to know what’s going on since this is Ari’s story you find out when she does. I do have to give the author a lot of credit since it is told from Ari’s POV the author does find a way around that for the climax of the story which is fun and extremely unique. The writing is fast paced with a lot of dialog as the characters try to solve the mystery which was very detailed. The payoff was good and it left me wanting to find out what happens next to Kyle. I hope there is another story there in the future.

Overall I am so glad I found and invested in this series, it’s a great ride with fantastic writing.
