Entertaining, sexy, and fun! Awesome passion between Aubrey and Diego! At first, I wasn’t feeling the deeper vibe between them; mostly because of why Diego pursues her, but they definitely have steam! Plus, there’s some moments of sweet too. Aubrey lets her good heart make some dense decisions for herself; going to some rich stranger’s house/compound for a week in Mexico where things are beyond shady, being one of them. She wants funding for her low income housing project in Mexico; she’s an architect, who wants to help, but she’s looking for money in a very wrong and dangerous place. She finds herself mixed up with drug lord type people in Mexico, but luckily, Diego, is there to help; even if he’s not very happy about it. Diego works for some deep secret security type organization; very strict and they don’t care much for protecting innocents, they just want to take out the bad guys by any means. This team is totally fine killing and using their bodies to gain information; Diego excels at seduction. That’s how Diego and Aubrey originally come together, so it’s kind of an eww factor. I really enjoyed all the books so far in this series; some good action and suspense! I’m excited for more! Unfortunately, I don’t see this series on Amazon anymore, so I’m not sure if there will be more books, but I hope so! The writing flows nicely and the author has created an interesting scenario in each book.

You know when the hero is a dangerous sexy bad boy hit man, you're in for a thrill or two. Basically, you're in danger of losing your panties and inhibitions and probably your sanity and safety. That's what you'll find in here and it's quite a hot and naughty ride.

A hot and steamy read! The chemistry between Diego and Aubrey was of the charts sexy. There is nothing hotter than a man that can kick butt but it's loving when it comes to his woman. A great read!

So when you see the title hitman you think you know someone who is in fact a hitman. Get in get out boom their dead. Noooooo this is completely different than other hitman novels. Diego is undercover kind of sorta playing apart in the bad guys entourage of villains. He is trying to find out what the man is up to. He is like a top secret spy because you never really figure out exactly what or who he works for or does. Enter Aubrey, wrong place wrong time type of gal, who pretty much screws him up left and right without actually meaning to causing him to have to reevaluate plans that have been made for over a year. It's a great story line and the off the charts chemistry for these two really burns the pages. They can't seem to keep their hands off even when they say they hate each other. Fantastic ending, Diego is the master of boom!

This book had, on its face, everything that would appeal to me. Danger, intrigue, suspense. And it started off good.. However, I found my attention waining about 50% in. I put the book down and read probably 20 others before I finally, almost grudgingly picked it up again. Perhaps it was my struggle with heroine, who I found utterly ridiculous, or maybe even the absurdity of the plot. I can handle a lot of 'suspend reality' plot devices, but when you have a bunch of those combined with a heroine who bordered on too stupid to live...I struggled. However, I did finish the book and it was okay overall.

This book is the third installment in the Deadliest Lies series. I haven't read any of the other books but each book is a standalone so you can start reading this series wherever you want. I read one other book in this series and I had some of the same issues with that book that I had with this one. In general I feel like these books have a lot of potential that they don't completely live up to. If you read the blurbs you get the impression that you're in for a real thrill ride but then there are pieces that don't fit and some of the characters could definitely be stronger.

In this installment Diego is attempting to locate someone on behalf of the mysterious organization featured in this series, TORC. Diego sort of loses sight of the mission when he meets Aubrey. Aubrey is "pleasantly" naive and manages to somehow stumble into the very answers that Diego is looking for. Aubrey is in Mexico City pursuing an opportunity that actually fell through but that she is trying to salvage for the sake of her career in architecture. As a part of her effort to salvage her Mexico City excursion Aubrey becomes the teacher to some super bratty horrible child who almost gets bombed to pieces and then almost gets Aubrey hit by a car. Somehow, because the crazy bratty kid swipes her passport after almost get her killed, Aubrey winds up hooking up with some rich guy who might be able to help her and meets Diego.

Diego, despite being instantly smitten by Aubrey still has enough sense to realize that it isn't a coincidence that Aubrey appears to be connected to the mystery he is trying to solve even though she is blissfully unaware. Diego can't resist Aubrey. Not sure why that is. Aubrey is a disaster who turns every part of Diego's mission into a cluster fu-k the minute she gets involved. Beyond physical attraction, it made no sense to me that Diego wanted Audrey. I honestly lost count of how many times she almost got both of them killed. I think Aubrey is supposed to be quirky and cute but you know what? It's come across as really annoying and totally idiotic. I wasn't entertained by Aubrey, I wanted to punch her. And Diego, I mean he was ok but in a very cliche hero sort of way. Plus, if you get a really unlikable heroine and the hero loves her, it makes the hero seem less loveable. Like, what is he thinking?

I didn't love this one but I still feel like this series has potential and some people might be ok with Aubrey's quirks.

I loved Diego and Aubrey. They were both strong funny characters who captured my emotions.

I LOVED this book! Since it's a hitman romance, I guess that makes it a Dark romance but this was so different than other books. First off it's funny. I love how strong and confident Aubrey is. Diego is used to getting what he wants but Aubrey drives him insane...funny at times, sexy at others, and still sad also. Diego is on a mission to find out what's goin on with Juan Carlos, a dangerous man who kills without a thought. Aubrey is in Mexico City after a loss of her savings with a non-profit agency that went belly up. She wants to meet with Juan to see if he'd front the money to support the non-profit. Diego is constantly saving Aubrey, who doesn't always realize she needs saving but she is always getting into trouble. I loved this read and can't wait to read more by this author..hopefully a continuation of this series with McDuff and a woman with an unknown name or the head of TORC and Diego's sister!

This is Book 3 in the "Deadliest Lies" Series and it was a wonderful read! Diego Romero is everything I love in a hero. He is sexy, badass, tough as nails and sweet, protective and hot.

I really loved this book! The humor in this one took me by surprise - I really wasn't expecting to laugh while reading a book called Hit Man but I did and I really loved it.

I read the two books before this one but for some reason this book did not grab my attention from the beginning. I am thinking that is where it started for me. You met Aubrey teaching in Mexico City and after an event an explosion and she saves a young boy, as they drive away the boy is holding her passport. Then later she is still in Mexico working at building affordable housing. Along the way she meets Diego and they are attracted to one another, and you can pick up the story from there. Diego of course is a hit man and he must decide what to do in either following through with the contract or protecting her and then protecting them. That part of the story is interesting. Overall I think this is good once you get past the beginning, but maybe it is just me. I over think things too much sometimes.

Are you looking for that certain alpha male that knows how to handle business and his woman with the same two strong hands? Well look no further. Diego Romero is the man for you. He is also the man for Aubrey if she would just let him be. These two had chemistry for days in this story and with a little action and adventure thrown in making this story hard to put down. Even when I finished it I didn’t want the story to end. Loved it.

I have to say, this book, did not read like it's third in a series. I loved every minute of this page turning thrilling romance. I will say that based on the title, I expected a little more... killing, a little more of a higher body count. I am a huge fan of the bad boy killer type. I just think if you call your book Hit Man, there should be more. Even so, I think Diego was amazing, he was dark, mysterious, protective, but didn't fall over himself to be involved with Aubrey. I'm certainly interested now, in going back to read more of this series! It was hot, sexy and a certain page turner.
