I don't know exactly what happened with this book. I loved the first installment, and I was expecting greatness for the follow-up. For some reason, as soon as Nolan and Lola start having sex, it's like nothing else mattered, not the danger, not the threat to Lola's life, nothing.

I did enjoy the fact that I wasn't sure until the very end who the villain was, and it was pretty surprising who that person turned out to be and the reasons that this person had to do all the things that were done over the course of the two books.

All in all, while not as good as the first one, I enjoyed reading this book and I'm definitely going to keep an eye out for this author's upcoming books.

This book picks up where book 1 left off and does have a HEA. I enjoyed the story line and was glad that this book was as well written as the first one and kept moving quickly, I didn't want to put it down once I started reading.

Since the second in this series is just the second part of the novel, rather than a whole new one, I am going to use the same review for both. (Lazy I know)

I usually don’t read these type of romance, read: political romances. However, there was so much suspense and the plot was interesting enough. Normally I would be angry about a novel leaving on such a cliffhanger, but since I already had book 2, I immediately went into the second part. Be warned though, don’t start this novel without getting the second at the same time. I will be highly annoyed otherwise and will miss out in a good story.

I enjoyed the light dom/sub undertones although I wish I had known “southern gentleman” stood sexist alpha male. At some point, it’s just too much.

All in all, it was a an enjoyable suspenseful read.

This book starts right where book 1 left off so you don't feel like you might have missed something. While this book had way less sex, it had more action and we finally find out who is behind trying to hurt the Randall campaign. Will definitely read more from this author.

Because one just isn't enough, author Sweden Reese brought us part two of her suspenseful spanking duo. With such a cliff hanger at the end of book one, it was good that she published both simultaneously.
