CONCEPT
Athlete hires a new sports agent in the hopes of not being taken advantage and in the process finds love...
STORY
Omar Drummond is a pro football superstar with a body that's a pure work of art. But Morgan Gray is forbidden to act on their chemistry, or repeat their impulsive kiss. Proving her worth as a sports agent means securing the notorious celebrity as a client, not a lover. Yet between flowers, sweet notes and heady hotel interludes, Omar is shamelessly seducing her…
Other agents—and exes—have tried using Omar as a meal ticket, and he's closed himself off from emotional entanglements. With Morgan, it's a whole new playbook. Smart and tough, she can negotiate a contract and turn him on all in one go, and he craves more. But in matters of trust, he's just fumbled badly. To win her, he has to show her the man he can be away from the pitch and the limelight, and hope that this time they're both playing for keeps.
CHARACTERS
Morgan Grayson has been wanting to break into a new career change and she gets the opportunity to cut her teeth as a sports agent. Omar is a man that is loyal to a fault and will do anything for family. Once he encounters Morgan, his attraction to her is apparent but he also wants her to represent him. When he tries to pursue a more personal relationship, Morgan is hesitant because Omar is her first client and she wants to be taken seriously in a male-dominated field. OVERALL
Places in the Heart was the latest installment in Sheryl Lister’s “The Grays ofLos Angeles” series and it was a good read. Readers will enjoy reading Omar and Morgan’s story and will fall in love with this couple. There are times readers will questio
n Omar’s decisions and how he arrived at the predicament he was in when he sought Morgan out, as well as readers may want to smack Morgan for giving Omar a hard time. Overall this was good read.
