Shielding His Christmas Witness was not a favorite Love Inspired Suspense story, but it wasn't bad. I enjoyed the suspense and the characters were really nice; there were just parts of the story that I didn't like (a mix of the romance and writing style).

I loved how Marc was guarding his "witness" and he definitely had to protect her from a LOT of danger. I really REALLY liked his family and I look forward to reading the rest of the series (I've already read #2, so just have #3-#5 left).

All in all, Shielding His Christmas Witness was a good read. There were a few things that bugged me and hindered my enjoyment (mainly when one character would think something and then right after the other MC would think pretty much the exact same thing...I mean, I just heard that info and I don't need to hear it again so soon...), but I still liked it. If you enjoy LIS novels, I think you will like this book.

This sweet story will hit the spot. It's a perfect Christmas read...enough action to hold interest, gentle romance, human interest, but not so good that you'll let the Christmas cookies burn because you don't want to put the book down.
