This book I could not put down. I just had to see how Alice changed her family's life. For the better of the worse. All I can say is..... if you have family like that who needs enemies!

Clare and Alice, two sisters, were separated when they were young. Their dad decided to take Alice with him to America leaving behind Clare with her mom in UK. Years passed by but Clare and her mom never gave up trying to find Alice going as far as hiring a private investigator for the job. Now Clare is an attorney in a private firm with two more partners and lives with her mom, husband Luke and two daughters. This year though after her dad’s death Alice contacts her mom and Clare and wants to meet them. The much-awaited reunion though does not go as planned. Soon Clare starts feeling left out of the close bond Alice starts having with her mom and outings with Luke. Alice starts wearing clothes and her hair like Clare’s ,even befriending her friends. Clare when objects ends up sounding paranoid and jealous. Is Clare losing her mind or is there a sinister plan behind Alice seeking her mom and sister out?

This is my first book by Sue Fortin and will definitely not be my last. Even though you could see where the book was heading the reasons behind it kept me turning the pages. It is a fast-paced psychological thriller with lots of twists and turns to keep you guessing

I really enjoyed the book, it has everything I love in a novel from start to finish. I can’t wait to read what the author has planned next!

Gripping - it's one of those books that I kept sneaking back to, to read more. Poignant - a proper ending, realistic and true life, without being overbearing or thumping just for the sake of having racy plot twisters. Overall an excellent book.

I enjoyed this fast-paced and suspenseful thriller, even though I guessed most of the twists quite early on in the book. Some of the plot lines were unrealistic but I guess it's fiction, so we have to suspend belief. This was a first book I've read by the author and I would definitely try her others as I liked the writing style.
Many thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for the ARC.

Sister Sister
Clare Tennison and her mum have always felt a huge gap in their lives ever since Clare's younger sister Alice was taken to America as a child by her father. What was meant to be a two week holiday turned into a permanent move as her father ceased all contact.
Clare and her mum have tried in vain to contact Alice so when they receive a letter from her they are so excited to meet her.
Clare soon becomes very jealous of Alice as she spends time with her husband and children and as she looks closer at her long lost sister she soon find that certain things don't add up.
The worst part about this whole situation is that Clare's husband and mother and friends and colleagues all suspect that she is going crazy and she needs to do everything she can to prove she's not.
The story is fast paced and had me gripped from beginning to end. I would say it has a similar feel to the replacement but with a much better ending.

Sue Fortin's psychological thriller Sister, Sister grips the reader from the first page and doesn't let go. What begins as the story of Clare Tennison- loving mother, devoted daughter, caring wife, hot-shot lawyer - trying to track down the sister her father stole away to America as a child, turns into something far more sinister and gripping. Is Alice who she says she is? Why does Alice want to take over Clare's life? Can Clare trust her instincts when both her happy family and professional lives are falling apart? In the age of social media when so much of a person's life is available online, the premise rings frightening true. Fortin has set the bar high - it will be difficult to read a better thriller in 2017.

What can I say! Sister Sister got me hooked from the very first page. It was full of many twists and turns and even I doubted who was telling the truth and who was telling the lies. Fantastic!

Completely "un-put-down-able" with an ending I didn't see coming. This is the second of Sue Fortin's books that I have read and she is now on my favourite author's list

I really Liked the writing style of this author.
An easy read with enough drama to keep you reading and guessing.
A husband leaves his wife and takes one of his daughters with him to America to start a new life.
Twenty years later the sister returns(Alice), the other sister Clair doesn't have a good feeling about her from the start alice makes clair look bad all the time is Alice trying to alienate Clair from her family?
A good twist at the end.

Thank you netgalley the Author and Publisher for a free copy to review.

Brilliant read from the first page to the last. I couldn't put it down, although it was very frustrating in parts - but I had to carry on reading to see if justice was served. Thank you so much, I'll be recommending this one highly!

I loved The Girl Who Lied and found this to be just as good, if not better. Lovely writing style.

When Clare was a young girl, her sister was taken away by their father. Clare and her mother have been looking for Alice ever since. The story starts with Clare lying in a hospital bed, not remembering how she got there. Flash back to six weeks earlier and we find out how it all began. Its the month of September, and its getting closer to her sister Alice's birthday. Clare is at work when her husband calls to say her mother has had a letter from Alice, and could Clare come home right away. After writing for a while its decided that Alice will come and visit for a while. This is where the story takes a turn to the dark side. Marion seems so excited to have her daughter back. while Clare is having trouble with the reality of having her sister back. Everyone seems to love Alice except Clare. She notices Alice borrowing her clothes without asking, and she is getting very close to her husband. Something isn't right. No one else sees this, they all think Clare is paranoid. I couldn't put this book down. I was cheering Clare on as she fit the pieces together. If you like psychological thrillers give this a go.

I was expecting good things from this book. Claire is reunite with her Sister after many years of searching after their father passes away. We begin the book with Claire in hospital waking up knowing something bad happened, but what? The book then takes us back in time to just before meeting Alice again. I felt the book was quite slow, and whilst it wasn't predictable and there were some really good twists to the plot, it all seemed to happen quite quickly and gain my interest after about three quarters of the way through the book.

I have read two other books written by Sue Fortin and thoroughly enjoy her writing style. I love how her mind works as she tackles whatever subject she is writing about, I know I'm in for a good read once I start the first page right until the end.

This has been an anticipated read for me so I'm glad that Harper Collins allowed me to read this via Net Galley.

Two sisters.
But something happened to separate them.
The one left always missed her sister. But now she's married with kids of her own. All living in one big house along with her Mother.

Unexpected events happen.

Although I guessed the twists (yes....Twists...plural) I still wasn't absolutely sure until the end. But that didn't matter because you had to carry on reading to find out the where's and the why for's.

I would purchase this book for anyone who likes a good psychological thriller that's mixed in with family drama.

Loved it.
