A great dia; biography with a lot context of their reign as they battled the Muslims and the Jews many of whom became conversos. Ferdinand seemed the weaker of the two while Isabella comes across as the real ruler. Do not stop at go but go directly to your nearest bookstore to buy this compelling biography.

Really liked this book. Great read about this time in history. Good take on the characters. Interesting to read about what happened. There were some surprise facts that I was unaware of. Good story flow and transitioning from topic to topic, character to character. Interesting characters from history. Liked the author's perception of he time and people. Highly recommend.

I imagine that the author has made an immense research to write this novel, and for that I am very sorry to say that I did not like it. I am fond of historical novels, but also fond of history and a great reader of novels, and the novel is the part that irritated me most. I do not know whether on his own initiative, or on the advice of someone who told him that insisting on certain keys the reader would be more intrigued, but what comes out is a story with the same thickness of the 50 shades, but set the time of Columbus. Perhaps this approach may be acceptable to the American reader, but I'm European, and I did not like at all. What a shame.
