Great idea for a book and really well executed. A thoroughly good read. Highly recommended. .

Another great hit with snoopy reporter Nichelle. When a dead body is found at the location of the wedding, where she is the maid of honor, the mystery begins. Especially since he was rival/enemy of groom. I've read others in the series (this is number 6), but it has been awhile. I did enjoy the book and story-line, but at times there were so many plots thrown at the reader at once that it was hard to keep track of the direction and characters. Other than that though, a delightful story and one I highly recommend.

I’ve read a number of the books in this series, so having a good background of characters made for a difference. I suggest reading the books in order so you can understand the relationships between the characters.

Nichelle Clarke is the cop and crime reporter for the Richmond Telegraph. She is also the maid of honor at a wedding she is helping plan which will unite two of her co-workers. When a body is found at the wedding venue and her friend comes under suspicion, it makes sense for the Nichelle, both as maid of honor and as a reporter to jump in to figure out the whodunnit.

The mystery is convoluted and there are many false diversions. This is what I’ve come to expect in this series, so I am always looking deeper for the perpetrator. In addition to the murder mystery, the book continues with relationship building between Nichelle and Joey (her secret boyfriend who may be mob-connected.)

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

Lethal Lifestyles is the sixth book in The Headlines in High Heels Mystery series written by author LynDee Walker. Marvelous stories. Thanks to NetGalley and Henery Press for the advance copy. Can't wait to read the next one.

I love this author, and this series. This is another great read, quick, witty, and well-written,
In this book, Nichelle Clarke is the maid of honor for the upcoming Richmond wedding of her friend. Things go awry when a body is discovered, and the groom seems to have a connection to the victim.
She also has to deal with the TV reporter on the case, and issues with her publisher..
Can she still give her friend a perfect wedding, while solving the case?

Lethal Lifestyles was the most fun I've had with crime in a long time! Nichelle is a crime reporter for a newspaper in Richmond, Virginia and she works long hours covering terrible incidents and quite often becomes invested in what she’s reporting. I always find the mysteries really interesting in these books and they do end up being quite intricate but without being confusing.

I enjoyed this read. It was unique and very catching, in that I struggled to put it down. I finished over two nights, always excited to pick it back up, when I got home. I liked the detail and flow the author gave the world and setting, it blended well with the detail and personalisation in the characters.
