Nikka is given a second chance at life when a mysterious doctor offers her a revolutionary new treatment for her leukemia. She doesn't realise this new life will take her away from everything she knows, including her family.
I really wanted to enjoy this but I didn't at all, which is surprising as I usually like this type of book. I couldn't relate to the main character and just didn't feel much empathy for her after the start. She was quite a sulky teenager most of the time, even when you think she has learned a lesson or grown up. I'm trying not to give away any spoilers but it was pretty clear who the bad guy was right away.
