Stevie just found her boyfriend cheating and now she is homeless. She works at night driving a cab where she meets sexy billionaire Reid. This story is fast paced with a great story all thought I admit Stevie was hard to like. The chemistry is off the charts hot. The story held my interest throughout. I really liked it.

Opal Carew writes erotic fiction. As I recall, her profile says as much.

This was erotic. They meet in a cab and pull over for sex in an alley before the first ride is over. If this doesn't work for you, stop reading now. Because, it only gets more erotic from there. Into the story comes bondage, submission and a threesome.

And, it works. It is well written, the sex is hot and, well, erotic. I appreciate Opal Carew's writing as she actually tells a story in the middle of the sex, which is not something that always happens in erotic fiction...and this is the reason I keep reading her.

That and the hot sex. :)

I recommend this book.

no review left because i did not finish this book - it wasn't what i was expecting. i wasn't in the mood to read a m/m or menage romance and had no idea that's what this book was.

This book was not what I was expecting it to be. Reid and Stevie make for an interesting read. However, there was so much drama on Stevie's part that it was a bit distracting. It was a good book to read, but won't go down as one of mt favorites.

Note, I did receive an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

A Fare to Remember was a bit of a surprise. I did not know this was a menage story when I started it.
I thought the author handling the unlikely pair of a woman cab driver and a billionaire business man, as well as adding in the best friend into the relationship was done very well. The whole story was well put together. Stevie had a few "too stubborn" moments but that is the only negative I have. ARC provided by NetGalley.

Stevie broke up with her boyfriend when she discovered he's cheating on her. She packs all of her belongings and stores them in her cab -- not knowing where she will move to. Her friend suggests that she should have hot sex with the next guy who gets in her cab. Well the next person to get into her cab is billionaire Reid and he happens to hear part of that conversation. Stevie decides to make her friend's suggestion a reality and does just that.

Stevie blows Reid's mind and he doesn't want to let her go so he takes her to his penthouse. He forgets to mention to his business partner Dylan that he has a houseguest.

This relationship heats to boiling points when it taken to another level. This story truly sizzles and is definitely a fare to remember.

4.5 Hot Stars. Wow, the intro to this book did not prepare the reader for how erotic the sex scenes would be. This book is a MMF with lite BDSM and safe sex is not addressed. Personally these subjects are not a problem for me so I enjoyed the story of Stevie, the cab driver and Reid her fare and Dylan, Reid's best friend.

Reid and Dylan's bromance expanded to include sex to help Stevie reach her sexual fantasy of seeing two men together. They were also more than happy to help with her with her threesome fantasy.

Stevie is driving a cab to escape her past life and is not interested in a commitment since a recent breakup and a past failed engagement. Will Reid be able to convince her to give a him a chance? There are some surprises that will keep you reading.

This story was all over the place. And the sex scenes were a mish mash of type - stranger, BDSM, gay, and straight. It was a little bit much. And again, the real drama of the story seemed to unfold all in the last few pages and were wrapped up just as quickly.

An amazing story, a book that captured my attention, spoke to my heart and one I will definitely read again and again countless times.

Cabdriver Stefani "Stevie" Trivoli has just had the worst night ever, she lost her boyfriend, place to live, and now she has no clue what do next... that is until a sexy billionaire hops into her cab. Stevie is down on her luck, wandering what her next move should be, and then she meets Reid, and when he makes her an offer she can't really refuse she takes it... thinking what could more exciting than spending a little time with a sexy billionaire??

From the moment Reid Jacobs plants himself into Stevie's cab he is completely taken with her, there is something so innocent and pure about her that intrigues him, makes him want to learn everything there is to learn about her, so he makes her an offer she can't really refuse. And the moment he does both their worlds are turned upside down...

I devoured this naughty little page turned in a day, once I got started it was so hard to stop, had to know what would happen with these two!! I'll admit the story took an unexpected turn I wasn't expecting, one that involved a little trio action, but nonetheless it turned out to be a good read. The chemistry between Reid & Stevie was undeniable, their relationship was intensely passionate, raw, and filled with lots of steamy action that left me blushing more than a few times! If you like your fairy tales a little on the naughty side, then I highly recommend you pick this one up, Ms. Carew's spicy story line is sure to give you what you want... and then some!!

I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this title!!

Carew brings the heat and her trademark strong females in A Fare to Remember. Stevie has sex with Reid after his first trip in her cab, and it leads to a hot relationship not only with him but also with his hot roommate Dylan. When their relationship is tested they have to work hard to get back on track. The sex elements of the relationship at times seem thrown in for maximum effect, like some BDSM with little explanation, or the makeup sex that happens after the big breakup. While fantasy sex makes great reading, the reader still has to be invested in the characters, and the plot strained the love for these characters for this reader at times. Still a fan of this author!

Sadly, this book didn't work for me. I loved the idea of a female cab driver who has a hot hookup with one of her fares. However, said hookup--very early in the story--involves unsafe sex with a man she literally has just met. There's not even the cliche, "I'm clean" conversation. That's a deal breaker for me. Also, I had trouble suspending disbelief during the scene when Stevie whips out a designer gown and shoes--conveniently allowing her to attend a swanky event with Reid.

Love this author, but unfortunately didn't love where this book was heading. No star rating since I did not finish.

Oh my gosh. This book was awesome.

This is not the first book by Opal Carew I have read and it's definitely not the last. Everything about this book is right on the mark.

Who wouldn't fall for a guy that would do anything for a girl? Especially if that guy is all in from the beginning. Plus be willing to bring a friend along for the good times in the bedroom. YUM! Sign me up!

This book is not only remarkable in the sack with the MFM (including a bit of MM action and a small flash of bdsm) and the sweet love affair. But it's also has a little bit of theme spinoff from the classic movie An Affair to Remember with Deborah Kerr and Cary Grant.

This story is definitely one to remember. Extremely well written, with the steam and heat off the charts, and an ending that makes you hold your breath hoping for the best. This story is a winner in my book!

Opal Carew did not disappoint! Loaded with spicy erotica and an awesome read overall!

Stevie is a female cabbie who just found her live in in bed with another woman, she grabs a few things, packs them and tosses them in the trunk of her cab.
She picks up a passenger Reid who happens to be a billionaire (aren't they all) who strikes up a conversation with her. He's unlike any of her other fares. That's an understatement.
Reid and Stevie do the wild thing in an alley in between the stops he needs to make. He throws down the gauntlet sexually with her and she picks it up. A little reluctantly, but she does. Money doesn't phase Stevie, she's been there, done that. Burned badly before by that, it's the one thing that keeps her from Reid. Reid has dom tendencies, which he begins to use with her and the story seems to move along nicely. Stevie isn't too sure about the whole submissive thing, but she likes the sex.
But then we get Reid's best friend Dylan in the mix, who becomes part 3 in what starts as a M/F story, now twists into a M/M, MFM, M/F and I scratched my head thinking what the hell? Let me also mention all was unprotected sex.
Yes the sex is over the top hot. Maybe even a little overdone considering the story. Because wait, the only story left here is the three of them in bed or on the couch... you get the picture.
What starts as Reid falling in love with Stevie and wanting to make her his, spirals out of control into some redundant sexcapade. I don't mind smoking hot nasty, and I'd have preferred she'd stayed on the dom meme because the story would have made more sense. But it just derailed.
When Reid pushes for a little more commitment and having just seen a piece of her past that reminds her what money does to people, she wants time to think. He's all onboard with that. But she decides....???? Yeah, no spoiler. And when a life threatening mishaps occurs, he doesn't know what's happened, for quite some time. Like months. When he does finds her at a diner after being directed there by Dylan, he is over the top pissed and doesn't let her explain. Pissed!!?? Ah yeah, I don't think so. So when he realizes how badly he's screwed up, he goes and makes nice... and then.
Wait for it.... she's a little anxious to get back in the sack with him and he is afraid he's going to hurt her. This woman he professes his love to, about and manipulates the hell out of things and what does he do? Lets his best friend have first whack at her? NO!!! JUST FREAKING NO!!

I love the authors stories and this one started on the right track but she swung a major u turn on a one way street with this one.
There were a couple other things that bothered me about this too during that scene while she's conscious of her scars from the accident, there isn't a big emphasis placed on that which was good, however the subtle inference from Reid that she was no longer able to perform. (Although her mouth still worked) That left me feeling that in that moment he didn't see her as a whole person. I'm not saying she wasn't changed by the accident, because she was. But the way he handled that first sexual encounter was just insulting to anyone who has any, and I do mean any sort of physical infirmity. Including a bad back from too much yard work or pregnant woman. Enough said.

3 stars was a stretch. Now that I've vented, I'm dropping that to 2.

Loved this book and it's hints of the movie An Affair to Remember. The author has a nice easy to rea style and great sense of humour too! I'll be watching for her next book!

i'd never read an opal carew book before, but when i read other people's reviews i realized that it's apparently her thing to have her books appear to be normal contemporary romances and turn out to be something unexpected. i'm pretty open-minded about the kind of romance books i read, i'm not one to go about clutching my pearls because "oh my, erotica or bdsm or threesomes or homosexuality or bisexuality." i have hard limits, like pedophilia and bestiality, for example, but i don't think those would surprise anyone.

but even though i'm open-minded, i also like to know what i'm getting myself into. and the blurb to a fare to remember barely touches what the actual romance is about. [n.b. i've noticed that the blurb has been updated on amazon to sort of hint of the actual story, but this was not the original blurb i read. the one i read actually had a different name for the main character and may have related to an earlier draft. but my point is still that i did not know what kind of book i was reading when i started reading it.] reid and stevie do have a one night stand, but then when they look to deepen their romance, reid's friend and business partner also falls for stevie and all of a sudden reid, stevie, and dylan are in a full-fledged ménage relationship. and no one is worrying about whose hands are where.

and it's kind of refreshing? so many of these ménage stories are really weird about incidental contact between the men, which never really makes sense to me, since they are basically having sex with the same woman and there's no way that works without touching. so i thought it was great that the guys were also into each other, even as they were also super into stevie. but i get that not everyone feels that way about this kind of thing, so if ménages or bisexuality are hard limits for you, then this isn't the book for you.

a fare to remember is also somewhat of an homage to an affair to remember, also known as my personal least favorite cary grant movie ever. i disagree with the ladies of sleepless in seattle (the one sort of homage to an affair to remember that i've actually ever liked).

which is to tell you that there is some high melodrama at the end of the novel that closely mirrors the story of an affair to remember and i was kicking myself for not realizing that of course this book was an homage to the movie. i didn't really pick that up at first even though i noted the title similarity. anyway, this was a quick, easy read.

The cover had me at hello! I was very intrigued with A Fare to Remember by Opal Carew. When I started reading I was quite surprised where the story went. Reid and Stevie meet in a cab and from the get go their attraction is damn near combustible! All in all a great erotic read.

This is such s hot sexy little piece! It's outside the norm and that was really refreshing. I love the idea of a female cabbie! The sex scenes were scorching!

This was my first Opal Crew book and I loved it! Plenty of sex and sizzle and I thought there was still enough storyline there as well not to be overlooked buy all the heat. I liked the characters and am interested in where they go next. I also liked the twist in the storyline with the accident. Thoroughly enjoyable and entertaining read.
