Another case of not knowing this was a series book - I suppose I should do more research before requesting here - completely noted. As this is the second in the series and I haven't read book one, I wasn't quite sure what to expect. Unfortunately I don't think it reads well as a stand alone as i was confused by some of the characters and couldn't find myself getting involved with any of them.

The dialogue got to be a bit much and I found it a little irritating to read in some places.

Other than those two points, it's quite the interesting world the author has built. Fast paced plot, which is always a winner.

Solid book but I do wish I had started with one, and that unfortunately reflects in my rating.
