This is a very nice collection of three stories, perfect for the holiday season. You can tell the authors are all very talented at telling a good story with interesting characters and well-thought-out plots that are neatly wrapped up by the end.

My only problem with this, is that two of the three stories have a lot of characters thrown in the mix. When you are looking for something shorter to read, it would be nice to have a more limited number of people, so you don't have to take notes to make it through the book.

Yule Log Murder is a triple novella by three bestselling veteran cozy authors: Leslie Meier - Yule Log Murder (Lucy Stone), Lee Hollis – Death by Yule Log (Hayley Powell), and Barbara Ross – Logged On (Julia Snowden). They are all well-written, humorous, and contain recipes.

This book of novellas is perfect for readers during the holidays, since they are short, fast reads, and are fairly upbeat. Although murder is not upbeat, there is no graphic violence or language, and in most cases, a bad person gets murdered, so readers don’t feel quite so bad.

Anyone looking for something fun to read while waiting in lines, pumping gas, or traveling on a plane will welcome these novellas. Lots of fun!

Hayley Powell, and Julia Snowden are all looking forward to Christmas baring they can each solve their own Christmas mystery. In some cases like Hayley and Julia that proves to be more challenging. Definitely great stories and if you haven't read these ladies yet you are truly missing something great. I love these women and what they accomplish even with Christmas on the way!

I'm a big fan of the Tinker Cove series and I love Lucy Stone. I like that the series has evolved so much over the years and the characters have really grown with the series. As this was a book with three stories it left me wanting more. A great holiday read even if you aren't familiar with the other authors. Would definitely recommend.

This book consists of 3 stories written by 3 authors, each a character from one of their series. I chose this book because I enjoy reading Leslie Meier and her Lucy Stone series. I have not read the other 2 others and wasn't familiar with their series. I enjoyed reading this book and getting to know 2 new authors and introduced to their series.

This was a quick read of 3 short stories by 3 different authors. Cozy mysteries all having to do with eggnog.
In the first story a bottle of eggnog is left for someone but then is taken to the pennysaver and served to guests. Someone drinks it and dies. Come to find out it wasn't an accident.
2nd story is about a librarian that nobody likes and she is given the wrong glass of eggnog to drink.
the 3rd story is about a woman subletting an apartment and she comes into the life of the person who really holds the rent. She is such a pain in the butt and I did not like her whiny attitude at all.
All 3 stories were a fun read and take about an hour each to read. I did enjoy the topwn that they took place in and the main characters.
I received this from NetGalley for a review.

Synopsis:

With the fireplace crackling, the tree twinkling, and the carols humming, few things in life are as picture perfect as Christmas in Maine—until murder dampens the holiday spirit. It must be something in the eggnog . . .

EGGNOG MURDER by LESLIE MEIER
When a gift-wrapped bottle of eggnog—allegedly from the Real Beard Santa Club—proves to be a killer concoction for a Tinker’s Cove local, all Lucy Stone wants for Christmas is to find the murdering mixologist who’s stirring up trouble.

DEATH BY EGGNOG by LEE HOLLIS
Food and cocktails columnist Hayley Powell has never cared much for Bar Harbor’s grouchy town librarian, Agatha Farnsworth. But after the Scroogy senior has a fatal—and suspicious—allergic reaction to supposedly non-dairy eggnog, it’s up to Hayley to ladle out some justice.

NOGGED OFF by BARBARA ROSS
Julia Snowden’s tenant Imogen Geinkes seems to be jinxed. First, her poorly named “Killer Eggnog” gives all her co-workers food poisoning at the holiday party, then her boyfriend’s body shows up in Julia’s moving truck as she’s headed back to Busman’s Harbor. Now Julia has to get moving to catch the cold-hearted culprit.

Cozy up with a glass of eggnog and enjoy the spirit of murder and mystery in a Yultide treat perfect for those winter holidays . . . (Goodreads)

Review:

This book is a three story collection of Christmas stories that takes place in Maine. One story is Eggnog Murder by Leslie Meier, another is Death By Eggnog by Lee Hollis and the third is Nogged Off by Barbara Ross. Having read two of the three authors before, I figured I was in for a treat reading this book. And I was right.

Although all three stories are more like novellas than a full length book, I still felt like the stories were worth the time they took me to read. All three had delightful characters, great descriptions, and mysteries worth solving.

If you are fans of these authors, you will be happy to see your favorite characters and will like spending more time with them. If these are new-to-you authors, this is a good way to be introduced to them and check out their writing style. Either way, this is a book that you should check out.

I received a free copy of this book from NetGalley in exchange for a honest review. I would like to thank NetGalley and Kensington Books for the opportunity to read and review this book.
