I liked the story, just wasn't aware this book was part of a series. I had bought the first 2 and enjoyed this series. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I really liked this novella on the Sweeney family. I am glad Sam and Eli are truly coming together. It is great to see Annie to continue to grow. The ending cliffhanger kept me longing for the next book in the series.

First of all I wasn't aware this book was part of a series when I requested it from Netgalley. I believed that it could be read as a standalone. I would say it's not completely possible.

There were two main things which bothered me in this book:

I guess I can now say that I am not a fan about reading the college boys mums. I felt way too young here even though I am in the age where I could have a teenager already. I just coudln't connect with the characters and neither their story.

The second thing is that I felt this book was overly moralizing. I really don't get the big fuss Sam was making when Jamie came home drunk from a party.

The book just wasn't made for me and I guess there are many people out there who might enjoy this book.
