This book has a lot of twists and turns. Very unexpected events happened to the lead character. She is not ready for it to happen. She is blindsided and the Fallout is interesting reading. Entertaining characters that help tell this story. Good read.

Out of Practice by Phoebe Fox is a great end of series wrap up with all the feels. Great characters, witty dialog, and tightly woven plot. A great read, and recommended.

Light, cute premise. Easy to like & follow characters - while not life-altering, who always needs that - escapes are a good thing sometimes. I liked it, it was an overall enjoyable read! Thanks to the publisher & Netgalley For the ARC opportunity!

There’s a saying about how the best guests leave early enough that the hosts still want them to stay. This is also true for book series. Click on the link below to read the rest of my review.

In the notes that the author, Phoebe Fox, included at the beginning of this book, she talks of how difficult it was to write this story. I'm so glad that she persevered and finished it as I think it is the best book yet in the Breakup Doctor series.

Brook Ogden is a mental health therapist who has a lot on her plate. When some unexpected events happen, she is left floundering. She starts questioning many facets of her life without quite understanding that she is suffering from mental health issues herself. The events are real and some are quite tragic and serious while others should be things she could shoulder and overcome.

The book has its light moments and the author has a way of presenting serious issues so that the reader can laugh a bit while understanding the depth of the problem. I really appreciate this series and hope to see more of Brook in the future.

I was provided a digital advance reader copy of this book by the publisher via Netgalley.

Brook is back as the BreakUp Doctor, and her business has been booming, that is until she reluctantly agrees to star on the Morning TV show hosted by a frenemy from High School. One thing leads to another, and this show segment ends up painting Brook as nothing but a glorified friend and makes a big joke out of her business. Whoever said any publicity is good publicity has not met the people of Brook's town as patients week by week starting to cancel, and her numbers start dwindling. If this wasn't stressful enough, Brook has some family issues going on as her Dad has now passed away and her mother is starting to show signs of possible dementia though it seems no-one else in the family is strong enough to breach the topic with her mother and as Brook is the family counsellor and Medical practitioner it's up to her. Brook has been busy trying to plan her wedding but what happens when nothing seems to be going right in the way of planning? Has Brook got cold feet or is she nervous as her first wedding ended up with her being left days before the "I Do's" were meant to be said? Out of Practice is the fourth book in the BreakUp Doctor series and by the way, the story finished, I wonder if it will be the last as the character seems to be taking a new direction. If you love cozy stories with a medical and romantic comedy feel then check out Out of Practice

Really enjoyed reading this book and following the characters as they developed

I have enjoyed everything about this book and series. Brook's family is as good as a group of secondary characters can be. Brook's own relationship issues often take a back seat to others, but in the end, I am always satisfied with a wonderful story.

Brook was nervous about going on t v. Melissa was the host of Wake Up, South west Florida and she had asked Brook for an interview. Melissa asked Brook if she was ready and told her she would do fine. Melissa and Brook had history they were both Fort Myers natives and had been homeroom classmates all through school. In tenth grade Melissa had slept with brook’s boy friend while was deciding whether she should or not. He dumped Melissa the next day and there were nasty rumors that followed Melissa through her junior and senior year. So Melissa actually did Brook a favor. Melissa had called brook to do a feature on her Breakup Doctor practice. Brook had a column in The Tropic Times and she had a call in program on Friday on the radio station KXAR. Brook became a specialist in advice to the lovelorn and broken hearted people. Brook told Melissa she was a licensed mental health therapist. Brook told Melissa it was a counseling practice. Brook specialized in relationships. Brook had been engaged four years ago to Michael and Michael ended the engagement a month before the wedding. Melissa admitted she loved a big bowl of revenge as brook was leaving and all Brook said back to her is prepared for a lonely life. Ben was Brook’s fiance and he had changed how she had felt about being engaged after the first time. Ben called Brook right after she left the television studio. Ben had a construction company. Brook’s father had died and her mom seemed so lost. Brook’s dad had been her mother’s roots that had anchored her. Sasha was brook’s lifelong best friend and now was her sister in law. Ben wonders if Brook really wants to get married. Or maybe they should wait a bit but Brook says no everything is fine and she wants to get married. Then Madison who was an ex client let a editor have her notes and a tape and an article was printed and that article tears Brooks confidence apart. Brook is also losing clients and is ready to quit. But Ben talks her into taking some time off to reevaluate everything.
I loved this story. I was so mad what Melissa pulled everyone knew it Wasn’t Brook that spread the rumors. Then to hold a grudge so long was really childish she needs to grow up and maybe get some mental health help. I felt really bad for Brook i don’t think she had really dealt with her dad's death a and then worried about her mom, trying to plan a wedding she just couldn’t get excited about and the her career falling apart. I was so glad she had someone like Ben in her life who truly loved her and worried about her no matter what it meant to him. I was interested in this story from the beginning and never lost any interest in this story. Ben was smart to tell Brook to take some time for her. This was a great story with a great plot. I loved the characters and the ins and outs of this story. I highly recommend.
