When I was a young girl living in Eastern Europe during the Iron Curtain times, my father was one of few people allowed to travel to Western Europe for business. He was the first person to tell me the story of the Champagne region and I remember being mesmerized and hoping to see it one day. Needless to say I was very excited to read this book. While I found it very informative, it was also somewhat dry and uninteresting. I would like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for providing a free copy of the book for my review.

We love champagne! After touring some champagne houses and cellars, it was very nice to read more about the process.

I enjoyed the history part! I love to drink champagne on occasion, but apparently, not enough to enjoy a book like this. Too many details. I am sure there will be champagne connisseur out there who will appreciate the book.
