This book tells the story of a family after their patriarch dies.

The start is very interesting, it pumped me up for the rest of the book.

The art is beautiful, it's similar to that of other Manga Classics.

The characters were lovable when they weren't crying their eyes out, something that happened a tad too often.

The story itself didn't interest me, it's just another "rich person loves richer person and things don't work out". This probably only happened because I read too many books with similar themes in a short span of time.

Another illustrated classic brought to life with such beautiful illustrations. The characters are beautiful and feminine and really brings the characters to life.

I’m always looking for new versions and formats of classics to put in students hands and this is one I will definitely be purchasing. Students will love the artwork and retelling of this classic in the manga format!

This book did not capture my attenting for long. I just could not seem to get into it. The images were not in color, which could have helped. When I read a graphic novel or manga, it's to completely immerse myself in the world of the characters. My sense of sight needs to be stimulated, and it just didn't do that for me. This is one classic that should have been left alone.

One of my least favourite Jane Austen books, yet the story presented through manga style had left me not wanting to put the it down! The Dashwood's are so vivid in their personalities, their joy, sorrow and humour oozes off that page!

The Manga Classics series is a joy to read! Thank you so much to the creators for bringing this series to life!

This was a fun and easy way to read a classic novel. It's always going to be so hard to condense a classic and still get the key points across, while adding in the subtleties. The only thing that I wish was done better were the transitions. Sometimes it just felt like it jumped from one scene to the next without setting it up so you knew where you were at in the book. I would end up feeling like the I missed a chapter or something. Besides that I enjoyed the quick and fun read, I'll enjoy reading another Manga Classic.

I am a HUGE Jane Austen nerd! I read this cute Manga version of Sense and Sensibility just a week before going to see a play based on the same book. What a fun way to jump back into this Austen story!

This book is so beautiful! My favorite Jane Austen book is Pride and Prejudice, yet Sense and Sensibility is probably my second favorite. The art is amazing as always, along with the story and the characters. They do a great job turning the book into manga. I can't wait to buy this and have it in my collection. Everyone that enjoys classics and Jane Austen should do so as well!

This adaptation follows Marianne and her sister Elinor as they experience love, and the threat of losing it, in a world where a persons money and social status plays a huge part.

This is yet another beautiful adaptation from this collection, a story I have long loved was brought to life for me again, accompanied by brilliant artwork helping to further capture every emotion. I adore Jane Austen’s classic novel, and this adaption captures the essence of it.

Focusing on the adaptation and art within this manga, the plot flowed throughout and the pace was good. Although it is inevitable that the story would need to be condensed to fit into this adaptation, it was done in such a way that nothing felt missed out. I loved the artwork, for me each image conveyed depth and feeling, in a way which can’t always be conveyed by the written word alone.

Overall I really enjoyed this adaptation, it gave me a chance to revisit a favourite novel in a different form. If you like classic literature or are looking for a fresh spin on a classic you might just love this.

The team at Udon has done it again! The pure artistic vision in this Manga Classic of Jane Austen's timeless Sense and Sensibility will capture readers from the very start. I've read the original book before, but that was once upon a time and I could hardly remember the details. Yet, I'm so happy to have rediscovered this treasure through the artistry of this manga and relive so many joyous moments as if I was reading the story for the very first time.

As an absolute Jane Austen fanatic, I was so excited to download this book. While obviously much effort went in to its making, I found it hard to enjoy. I could barely get though the first part of this manga style rendition of one of my favorite books. The dialogue felt like it was taken straight from the 2008 movie adaptation. I love that movie, but if I wanted to watch the movie I would watch the movie, The Dashwood girl’s characters also looked to much alike that I could not tell them apart. In general, the story moved along at a jarring pace. Overall, it just was not for me. However, I could see this being a great opportunity to attract a different audience to the wonderful world of Austen, so for that I give it a thumbs up.

I love reading manga and watching anime.. So when I saw a classic adapted into a manga I got excited.. Some scenes were taken/revised and that is very much understandable and it is still a fine adaptaion.. Good job if you ask me!

I loved this adaptation of Jane Austen's classic. I felt it really selected many of the most important plot points that were needed in the story and illustrated it well. Each character's personality came through clearly and looked unique enough that you weren't confused who was who. This was a fun read that would be a great way to introduce people to Jane Austen's work.

I am sorry that I couldn't complete the book on time and it got expired. I am giving 1 star because of the book description. I liked the synopsis and that is why I asked for the book.

The story stays mostly true to the book which I consider one of the most important parts of a manga retelling. Yes some things are skipped over or told in a slightly different way but I understand why. The artwork is classic manga style and for the most part I enjoyed. However I think the men could have been a touch more handsome in this story. A great adaptation of Austen’s work.

Sense and Sensibility was the second Austen book that I ever read. I picked it up after Pride and Prejudice, in my high school years, thinking it would be similar. I quickly learned that while Jane Austen has a distinct "voice", each of her stories is unique and engaging in completely different ways.

Probably, one of my favorites of her works, Sense and Sensibility, is a delightful read that evokes many emotions. I will say that, the manga edition was an incredibly enjoyable version of the story and I'm glad to have read it.

Although, this is one, that I believe everyone should read the original at least once.
