Review: Completely Yours by Erin Nicholas is a contemporary romance that melted my heart. Take a strong female who is geeky and a hot sexy real life hero…and the pages burn with desire. The heat that simmers from these two characters made me want to know more about them. Their meeting was unplanned yet the instant chemistry was felt on both sides. Zach Ashely is an EMT. Thinks of himself as an ordinary guy. Kiera Connelly a graphic designer packs an interesting personality and a radiance most females wished they had. She instantly likes Zach more than she should. The same could be said for Zaxh liking her when he needs to focus on his job. Yet fate intervweaves bringing them together.

Completely Yours has it all. Heat, desire, and intrigue. Complicated, complex, and romantic. I was pulled in by both the front cover design and by the synopsis. Erin Nicholas has captured me attention from the beginning to end. Her writing style is flawless. Easy to read. Her characters are believable and the scenes only propelled me further into their story. The plot was fast-paced and developed. For those who love a good romance with realistic setting and characters…then, this is definitely a must read. The romance novel is similar to my other favorite writers like Susan Mallory, Colleen Hover, and Brenda Novak. I was hooked and thrilled after reading this particular book. I will be looking forward to reading more by Erin Nicholas in the future!

Completely Yours had my inner geek all excited! There are not many "gamer" set contemporary romances and this one didn't disappoint! Well written dialogue with characters that you can't help but like.. There were times when I felt like the story was being dragged out but overall a well rounded romance.

I rounded up with this rating, I think honestly I would give it a 3.5. I alternated between liking this and not liking it. The hero really is a hero he is an EMT who puts everyone else’s needs above his own and always pushes his loved ones to do the right thing make the right choice which puts an enormous amount of pressure on his family. They recently lost their oldest daughter to a car accident and it start wearing on the family. Zach, our hero EMT, feels that it’s his responsibility to fix the family. Kiera, our geeky cosplay gamer, was happy in her safe little bubble keeping everyone on the outside even her best friends she kept at arms distance. That is until a basketball playing EMT plays the knight in shining armor and shows her she can be happy outside her bubble. It was a nice and easy read I read it in no time it was funny it had some great humor, and Zach could be sweet. I loved the buildup of sexual tension between them and when it finally happened it was pretty hot.

My issues with the book are one Zach was a little closeminded and highhanded but by the end he totally makes up for it; and two Kiera is a video gamer who only plays one game and it’s one she helped create but my main issue, and my problem really has nothing to do with the plot or the characters, it’s just that I’m tired of video gamers in books always playing MMOs (as a gamer I hate MMOs). I’m tired of all gamers playing one type of game and geeks watching all the stereotypical shows and fandoms; and I liked Keira a lot less when she scoffed at Star Trek. One thing confused me her MMORPG is an online video game much like WOW (World of Warcraft), but at one part she called a Live-Action Role Play game???? LARP is something completely different. The romance felt wrong at first, for the longest time it felt like Zach was only attracted to Kiera because she was beautiful and vice versa. The dynamic did change and a deeper connection did become apparent the more time they spent together.

Disaster struck the roof of the convention center collapsed during the annual comic con. Zach being an EMT is running around helping where he can. Kiera is in full costume of her Leokin character her best friends are being rushed to the hospital and she’s stuck at the convention center with no ride. Zach being insanely attracted to Kiera and completely clueless asks her to follow him around and interpret geek. Going above and beyond all because his attraction he brings her home with him so he can keep an eye on her to make sure there are no complications due to her concussion. Zach’s little sister is staying with him and, he thinks it to help her, she is deep into the Leokin world and since Kiera is into it also they bond. Zach hates Leokin he thinks it has ruined his sister, Zach asks Kiera to fake a relationship with him because he believes that Kiera can bring her out of her shell and back into the “real world”. It was supposed to be a no strings attached fling with an expiration date. But soon they realize that they are what they need for each other. I liked the pancake metaphor.

Overall, it was a fun read mainly fluff with some angst. I wholeheartedly agree with Kiera I prefer my bubble. I did like the book but I have read better geek girl/opposites attract books.

*3.5 stars*

I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

This is the first book in the Opposites Attract series by Erin Nicholas, and the two main characters were certainly opposites. Zach was an alpha male hero type, who feels like he has to take care of everyone he cares about, to the point of pushing family members and close friends away with his meddling. Kiera was a shy gamer girl, who pushes everyone away and would rather stay at home and work on coding and playing video games.

Zach and Kiera meet when the convention center holding a local con collapses. Zach, an EMT, goes in to help people and finds Kiera stunned but not hurt. His protective instincts kick in and he refuses to leave her alone, even though there are others who need help. They both feel instant attraction. They slowly start to fall for each other, but his need to provide everything for her and his not understanding of her interests cause some issues. Slowly, he realizes that she needs her alone time and they manage to make it work.

This was a cute love story. There wasn't any crazy amount of drama, which was nice. I did find Zach a little overbearing, but it worked for their relationship. He did try to understand her interests, and they ended up bonding over things he didn't think he would like.

Every single time Erin comes out with a new book, I think to myself "there is NO WAY she can top herself again..." and EVERY SINGLE TIME I am absolutely blown away!

Completely Yours was, phenomenal. 5 stars all around! Kiera and Zach both possessed qualities that really reminded me of myself in many ways. This truly helped me connect to both of them, and also made me get completely sucked in to the book the entire time. I literally couldn't put it down.

I always want to write reviews that leave the person reading it totally blown away, but I swear I just cannot do this book total justice! Her writing has continued to grow, and Erin Nicholas knocks it out of the park with Completely Yours. Just get the book. Honestly. You won't regret it.

A wonderfully sweet, sexy, mouth-watering romance that left me breathless and content. This is a slow simmer romance that is utterly sigh worthy and is what makes romance so addicting for me. A normal, beautiful yet shy girl meets a sexy hero who doesn't believe he is a hero who sweeps her off her feet in a slow gradual way that truly makes the story just...pop! This author does such a marvelous job with her writing. I can see why she is a best-selling author. Her words, her characters, her plot is what captures her readers and doesn't let go and keeps them coming back for more.

Guess what was released yesterday!? That’s right…another Erin Nicholas book! My favorite kind of book! 😉

Erin comes to us with a brand new series featuring cocky (in all the right ways), sweet, and sexy EMT, Zach, who encounters a call for a building that collapses on a convention in progress. He quickly figures out it’s one of those conventions where people dress oddly as different characters. What Zach didn’t expect was to encounter a gorgeous woman that instantly captures his interest, and keeps it.

Okay, so I got the little descriptor out of the way. Now onto the gushing. Anyone who knows me, knows Erin is one of my absolute favorite authors. At this point, I know I will enjoy all her books, but with this one, it is the front runner in her vast span of books. Usually it’s the male lead that will capture my heart, but this go round it was Kiera. My goodness I never wanted to befriend a heroine as much as I did her. She was the most charming creature with her introvert tendencies to the max and her love of the gaming world. I love women who don’t fit the norm of society. She was such a breathe of fresh air and so endearing.

Zach, no joke, was battling for a the number 1 spot of my favorite Erin Nicholas book boyfriends (which is currently Tucker. *sigh*). He was soooooo close to taking over, but I am happy to say he has clenched the number 2 spot. No one writes EMT’s like Erin does, and Zach is no exception. Handsome, charismatic, and all around good guy, there is much not to love. I always enjoy when I get to see a male lead knocked off kilter because of a woman. Seriously. I get a warm spot in the center of my soul watching them squirm 🙂 Kiera pushed him so far out of his comfort zone I’m surprised he still knew his name. He knew there was an undeniable pull towards her that he didn’t want to veer from, and he got the added bonus of Kiera also having an instant connection with his sister, whom he had been concerned about for some time. I ate up the time Zach and Kiera spent together.

This book was everything and more. No one writes a contemporary romance like Queen Erin. She will always have a permanent fan in me.

Here is a summary of what the book is about. Kiera Connelly leads a quiet life, and that's just how she likes it. She's built a name as a graphic designer and meets up with with friends online, all from the comfort of her living room couch. But when a rare outing turns disastrous Kiera finds herself up close and way too personal with an unbelievably hot real-life hero.

Zach Ashley doesn't see himself as a hero. He's just a regular guy who gets to help people everyday as an EMT. But when he's called to a scene and has to treat his most gorgeous patient ever,he finds himself mixing work with pleasure. He never hesitates to put his life on the line...but will he ever risk his heart?

I really enjoyed the main character Kiera because she is a lot like me in the sense she is a introvert. I am the same way.

I felt bad for Zach and his sister Aimee because they are going through a lot.

I couldn't put this book down it is a real page turner. I would recommend this book. I can not wait until the second book in this series comes out.

I found this book to be written in a very detailed manner in the chapters. The author is a great writer. I am looking forward to reading more books by her.

I have "resting-Leokin face" which now means " I have a perma-grin!". It's true, I just can't stop smiling. Completely Yours is completely captivating and just made my heart feel so happy. This is an incredible read about family dynamics, hero complexes and the world of gaming. Kiera and Zach meet and it just feel like they are meant to be. This is the first book by Erin Nicholas that I'v read but I've now snatched up a few on her vast catalog. I feel pretty confident that I'm going to love everything by her. Her writing is wonderful and the dialogue between Zach and Kiera is magical.

I fell hard for these two early on and my adoration only grew with each passing chapter. The story line is unique and is kicked off with Zach and Kiera meeting due to a small disaster at a comic con setting. They have off the charts chemistry but are reluctant to form any sort of attachment to each other. It's just not where either feel they are at in their lives. But they agree they have some unusually strong feelings for each other and thankfully begin to explore this.

“You’re trying to seduce me into a costume, and I’m trying to seduce you out of one.”

This type of flirty banter fills the pages of this story. It also leads to some of the most wonderful sexting I've read.

The story line is filled out with Zachs sister Aimee who helps to bond them to each other. Zach is a man who is unflinchingly dedicated to his family and not afraid of his feelings but he's got a bit of a hero complex and is in need of a reality check. Oddly enough it's Kiera's fantasy/gaming world that helps Zach understand himself better. Smart and funny , Kiera is just delightful. Although she's hesitant to get involved with Zach for her own reasons, she's pretty darn brave. Her compassionate nature helps to push herself past her comfort zone where she finds she really does enrich the lives of those she loves.

The gaming world is foreign to me and I found it fascinating reading about it and learning the terminology. Nicholas also explores how virtual relationships develop. As a member of the online romance book blogging community I appreciate the way she portrays how humans can positively connect in so many different ways. We have to put ourselves out there in order to reap the reward of friendship. Completely Yours is a true gem and not a book to miss. 5 Stars and recommendation!

This is my first book from Erin Nicholas and I am so pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed it.

I feel like this sounds corny, but this book was so cool. I thought the author took the concept of the gamer/nerd trope and totally turned it upside down. As I read this book, many times I found myself admiring the author’s creativity. She took ideas that might be ones we’ve seen and completely flipped them around and then made them something totally new.

One really great example of this is Keira and her gaming. Also, Zach’s sister and her love of gaming. I feel like so many times the stereotype is that girls don’t play games or if they do, its in a hyper-sexed up aspect. This is not the case in this book. I also enjoyed seeing Zach not getting the concept of gaming and why it could be found fun.

With that said, we do see Zach and Keira evolve throughout the book. At some point, both of them, and even other supporting characters, learn some valuable life lessons. I appreciated this for both Zach and Keira but also for the supporting characters. However, it didn’t feel forced. It felt like based on the way the book was going, it made sense that our characters would need to either step up to the plate or be left behind.

I really found myself enjoying this story. When I first started it, I wasn’t totally sure I would like it. I know I said it before, but the way the author approached this book and was able to make common ideas into totally new ideas was really enjoyable to read. I will definitely be checking out more books from this author because I ended up enjoying this story so much.

Things that usually make me fall in love with a romance; the couple meets in an unusual way, they seemingly have nothing in common, and the attraction between them is evident from the moment they see one another and Erin Nicholas managed to hit every one of these elements in her latest book, the first in her Opposites Attract series, Completely Yours. An introverted cos-playing, gaming heroine, an extroverted EMT with a love of basketball come together and find that despite their very different lifestyles, they do have something in common and it isn’t just their mutual attraction.

It’s hard to sum up Zach Ashley because he comes off as a super confident, competent EMT with an air of cockiness, but as this book unfolds it becomes apparent there is way more underneath and his need for control comes from his inability to control a lot that has happened in his life. Zach has some real issues and to be honest, my one complaint about this book would be I wondered if he ever got any outside help to deal with the things he couldn’t control that happened in his life. (See unfortunately or rather fortunately this is a “problem” I have with Ms. Nicholas’ books, her characters seem so real to me, and I want to know every little thing about them.) Zach is a warrior, he’s overcome some serious challenges but he thinks he has to save everyone and he refuses to rely on anyone for help. A character flaw for sure, but he’s just so damn admirable it is easy to overlook it.

Gaming is Kiera Connolly’s life; as a graphic designer and one of the creators of Leokin a very popular and growing game, she prefers being holed up in her home either working or gaming, but when her roommates insist she must go out, they go to Comic Con she just doesn’t expect for them all to end up in the hospital or for her to meet an EMT that not only hates the game she helped create, but knows nothing about gaming or cosplay. Kiera’s life hasn’t been easy; an unusual upbringing and a best friend who betrayed her and also refused to listen to her warning have caused her to not really allow people to get close and the world of gaming has allowed her the freedom to be in control and involved with people even if it is in virtual reality.

While the attraction between them was evident from the beginning, the fact they had very little in common kept them on a slow burn for a long while, but the more time they spend together the more they realize how truly special the other one is especially considering the fact that Kiera is making Zach’s sister Aimee smile again. I loved that it took them a while to move to the physical part of their relationship as it allowed them to really get to know one another. I will say I felt Kiera was better at sharing her life with Zach, but I again think that was because he simply couldn’t handle what he saw as his failures.

Chocked full of interesting characters from the hero and heroine to the secondary ones, a complex plot, engaging dialog, and a romance between two people who despite their differences found very common ground, I loved every minute of Completely Yours.

I'm struggling with this review a little bit. I loved, loved, loved Kiera. She was amazing. If I could be anything, it would be a cosplaying hermit who was really good at developing video games. She's my new hero. Zach, on the other hand... Zach didn't make a great first impression on me, and I struggled to recover from it..

He wasn't an asshole. Not exactly. He had his moments, but who doesn't? The problem is... Ok. Zach is an EMT. We meet him when he's responding to a call at a Comic-Con type event where a ceiling has fallen down. The first sentence of the book is "They're estimated up to twenty thousand were inside when it came down." Twenty thousand people were inside this venue when it came down. Zach and his partners and fellow first responders should be hauling ass to get in there and help. Especially in 2016. You can't tell me that the first thought in everyone's mind any time there's a mass casualty these days isn't "terrorism". If a ceiling falls in on your head, it's probably going to take a while to ascertain that it was in fact, just a ceiling falling. In the meantime, there will be chaos. First responders have a pretty important job to do. And Zach and his cohorts are indeed hauling ass to get in there and help. Until Zach sees Kiera. She's standing up, under her own power, and her only visible issue is that her skirt is caught under some debris. Zach spends the rest of the day with her. He ignores the other EMTs who are calling for him to come and help with actual injured patients, and spends the time with Kiera. Knowing he shouldn't because he has a job to do, but unable to help himself because she's so hot.

Kiera is there with two of her friends who are significantly more injured than she is, and when she tries to see how they're doing, he physically pulls her away from them and backs her up into a wall where he presses up against her and thinks about how her boobs look in her costume and about how good she smells. Then when he discovers she doesn't have a ride to the hospital where her friends have been taken, he decides she should tag along with him for the rest of the time he's at the convention center. Because apparently he's finally decided to treat other injured people. Somehow in the entire day they spend together treating hurt people, though, he, the brave EMT everyone looks up to, completely misses the fact that Kiera has a concussion until she passes out at his feet.

I know it sounds like I hated this book, but that's what's so frustrating. I didn't. Like I said, I really liked Kiera. And I liked that Zach was able to bring her out of her shell, though I didn't always love how he did it. But I was so annoyed with him for being such an awful EMT in the beginning that I could never completely come around on him. And I liked that Zach allowed himself to explore some of Kiera's world, too; it wasn't a one-sided relationship. Zach had a lot of deep-seated issues that led him to try to control the lives of everyone around him, and Kiera didn't let him get away with it. The way Erin Nicholas was able to make Zach's controlling personality work for me was nothing short of amazing, frankly. Being overly controlling is one of my least favorite hero traits; it's usually a full stop for me. But it worked with Zach. I understood where he was coming from, even if I thought he was wrong.

I loved reading about the Comic-Con and the cosplaying. I've been to San Diego Comic-Con a few times, and as I read the beginning of the book, I could actually feel as claustrophobic as I did then. I've always said that those were some of the most stressful fun vacations I've ever taken, and she captured the atmosphere for me. I loved Kiera's gaming, and the

The side characters, Kiera's friends and Zach's sister especially, were fun to read about. I'll definitely read their books. There were clearly things brewing here for the rest of the series, and I like Erin Nicholas' writing a lot. I wouldn't steer anyone away from reading this book, but I would understand if they gave up during that first scene.

4 Stars!

Erin Nicholas is a new author for me and this was the perfect book to introduce her writing to me. I love angst and I f-love over the top-alpha god. I love those tropes hard but sometimes I need low key and sweet. Sometimes I need down to earth and simple. Sometimes I need something to unwind and help my breathe easy. Erin Nicholas gave me that with the first book in this brand new series.

Completely Yours was a sweet, romance, light-hearted, and fun romance that will make you heart soar and beat a little faster. This book took me on a journey that led me to some seriously beautiful people. And the best? Meeting Zach and Kiera. These two were brilliantly crafted and perfectly executed. Their chemistry and banter... their passion and attraction... everything just made my toes curl with excitement and left my lips curving to smile big.

Lovers of all romances will enjoy this easy read. It left me wanting a whole lot more from this crew of folks. I personally cannot wait for the next in this series.

I highly recommend this book.

This is the first book by Erin Nicholas that I have read and I have to say it was such a fun read. It was a little more steamy than I had expected but I loved the characters and the setting of the story. Having comic con as the place where the characters meet and having our heroine be a complete geek, was a really cool concept, that was right up my alley!

Kiera Connelly is a geek, something her past boyfriends have tried to change about her. But after her fair share of betrayal and heartbreak, Kiera is finally happy with who she is and proud to display her geekiness for all to see, especially at Comic Con, where she gets to interact with her fellow geeks and also see how the game she brought to life is doing in the real world. Zach Ashley is an E.M.T, who has a thing about saving people. He has no time for video games and definitely doesn't speak geek. The only thing he has time for is basketball and trying to figure out how to help his sister, after a family tragedy. When a huge accident happens at Comic Con and his squad is called in to help, the last thing on Zach's mind is falling for one of the victims of the accident, especially when she's in cosplay. But there's something about Keira that makes Zach keep her close by and it's more than the gold body paint. Kiera doesn't need saving and she doesn't fall for the 'hot guys' because they're always jerks. However, when Zach Ashley tells her to follow him, she does exactly what he says.
First off I'm just going to put it out there now that Zach is....well...Phwoar!!!!!!! I mean, he's an E.M.T, which is amazing and he's good looking, ripped, basically he's just HOT! But he's also really sweet and has such a big heart. At first I thought the whole trying to fix everything and save people that didn't need saving would get a bit frustrating and tedious, but with Zach it really didn't. Erin Nicholas gives us this guy who really is the definition of a good guy, he has his faults sure, but everything he does is from a good place. How he came to be who he was were the bits that got me. His past actually choked me up to the point where I was explaining a fictional characters back story to my husband, yes you read that right. It was so emotional that it got me thinking about people in the real world like Zach, which prompted the conversation with my husband and which also made me love Zach more; he felt real.
There were a lot of topics in this book that made me think about the real world, especially the ones about tragedies that had occurred, either in Zach's life or while he was out on the job. Zach's reactions to them were what made me feel more connected to him. He said the same things that I feel when I hear bad news, I am one of those people who find it hard not to get emotional thinking about the families of victims even if I don't know them.
'Completely Yours,' isn't all sad though, that's just me ranting about the parts I connected with. It's funny, romantic and very sexy, with a 'Gorgeous and Kick ass' leading lady. Keira was a mixture of everything that I want to be. She was quiet, liked to keep herself to herself, was passionate about her work, spoke her mind, learnt her lessons and then stood up for herself and she could be sexy when she wanted to be. I loved that she was sweet and kind but then knew how to be playful and flirty with Zach. Their interactions made me smile. I also loved how open they were with each other from the start. There was no playing games and going round the houses with how they both felt about each other or relationships. This was such a breath of fresh air to read. Sometimes too much of the hopes and fairy-tales can get annoying. Both Zach and Kiera had already learnt their lessons, so they were both over the messing around with each others emotions and they were both straight from the beginning with who they were. I liked that.
If you're a fan of Comic Con, video games, basketball and cosplay mixed with emotional story telling and fun romance, or even if you're not, I highly, highly recommend 'Completely Yours!"

I really liked this sweet love story between Zach, the EMT and Kiera, the game developer. The story opens with a serious accident at the local comic con and Zach meets Kiera in full cosplay mode. He's instantly smitten with her, which I found very cute since there are plenty of people of around and Zach only has eyes for Kiera.

Zach helps Kiera when she can't go home alone, and well, things move along quite nicely from there. Even though Kiera has reservations, she's attracted to Zach too.

Both characters have some baggage to deal with that I don't want to spoil, but the conflict in this story is very mild. Zach's sister provides much of the drama, as she is a gamer too, and her relationship with Kiera might just be the thing that keeps Zach and Kiera from moving forward. But Kiera is a smart woman and she knows just how to let Zach figure it out on his own, while holding him close to her heart and I loved that about this story.

The sexy moments were hot, and overall, this was just a very sweet romance that is perfect for when you just want an adorable love story.
