Very powerful book of love and faith while coming to terms with his Father's terminal ALS. I loved the Authors writing. Great book.

Heartbreaking. Irrevocable news, no real options other than to walk through the horror. The author does a magnificent job to sharing the history of his family and relationship with his dad. The awful shock of the diagnosis and the many challenges, physical, emotional, economic and social that this terrible disease presents for everyone, not only the patient.

It is hard to know someone you love will not recover, I have been there, and to sit and support through times you don't want to and don't believe you have the strength to handle. The author treats this journey articulately and with such honesty and compassion, on some occasions it feels as it you are sitting there with them.

There is a deep love that underwrites this story, tinged with sorrow and inevitable loss. I can't imagine sitting down to write this after such a journey and loss; the author does a fantastic job.

For those that think this could never happen to them, read this to see how grace operates in the face of tragedy. I cried.

It can be tough to recommend a book where you know the ending won't be good, but this is a really caring, thoughtful and loving book.

This is a book that pulled at my heart. My Aunt became ill and was later diagnosed with ALS. It was a journey to watch and one which Michael Hemery has had the courage to share with us all. This is a story about love and heartbreak and a story that will stick with you long after you have completed the final pages. This book will open some eyes as to the devastion of this disease and the part it plays on the family that remains. A beautiful tribute clearly written from the heart.

So We Go is an excellent book. I loved the author’s writing and the whole plot itself was just…. Great.
Books like these are so necessary if that makes any sense. It’s written from the point of view of a man whose Father has been diagnosed with ALS.
The book is heartwarming, sad, and very painful. One thing that it is above anything else though, is truthful.
I’m very glad I read it and I’m so very grateful that it was written.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book Via NetGalley.
