I love love loved this book! So much so, I've actually read it twice. Zel as a character, was perfect. She is likable, and funny... but also carries a little sass with the ability to stand up for herself. Prim was obscure which kept my interest peaked along the way. I liked how their relationship slowly unraveled as they spent more time with each other, it wasn't love at first sight (which YA novels are often incredibly cringe with) but rather, Zels feelings grew over time.

Now let me start by saying this book and style was way different than what I was used to by Emily. But I love this book. I loved the emotion and how she was connected to her best friend even though that was it and all it could've and should've been but I'm glad.. I'm glad it didn't discourage the main character and she fell in love and still had a friend in the end and it was just overall a great read.

Zel is not happy about being back in Australia, away from New York and from her best friend Prim, who is no longer talking to her after what happened at Coney Island. Zel can’t wait for the year to be over so she can go back to the city and figure things out. When her cousin urges her to join drama, she finds a new group of friends, and working on the subway photography project she started in NYC is making her realize that their might be something worth staying in Australia for.

Really cute and sweet read.
