Katie recently was in a terrible car accident that claimed her father's life when a drunk driver hits them. As part of her therapy she is encouraged to write to an Army pen-pal. Scanning the pen-pal list, she is caught off guard when she sees a name from the past.
Devin Clay walked out of Katie's life nearly a decade ago, but when he receives a letter from her she suddenly becomes all he can think above. Soon the two start rekindling old feelings through letters, e-mails, and phone calls and discover that their love never really went away.
This book was well written. I constantly wanted to keep reading to see what the next letter, email, or phone conversation would hold. I think a part of my is giving this 4 stars instead of 5 because I truly wanted to see them get the perfect happy ending. After everything they went through I was really hoping he would walk away from war unscathed - that part broke my heart!
