I was surprised by this book once I opened it and got lost in the story. I really enjoyed the book and found myself blown away by Johnny Elias. He was a truly gifted song writer and musician. But the emotional pain that brought out his flow of words will break your heart.

Johnny's emotions flow through the pages and readers will find themselves gasping at the way Johnny's talents are shoved aside and his blossoming music career is affected by the spiteful efforts of one person.

What an emotional rollercoaster ride the reader will find him/herself from the first page until you turn the last page and quietly close the book.

Thank you to NetGalley and Harmony River Press for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

I went into this not really knowing what to expect. The book had gotten several good reviews so I wanted to give it a chance. The writing is smooth and the story good, but I just couldn't connect with the characters. Johnny was too soft and Megan too irritating. Katherine Price was manipulative enough to make me angry but it just wasn't enough to make up for the others. The ending was more like a cliffhanger but not compelling enough for me to want to find out what happens to them next if there is going to be a second book.
