I love the author's other series of books and was shocked at how different this series is. Wow he's a talented writer! I am late in my review but not because I didn't enjoy the book. I did. Real life just got in the way. This book was gripping and now I plan to read the others in the series.

Copy kindly received via NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

I forgot how engrossing the Erika Foster series can be. This has been in my ARC pile for way too long. I'm glad I finally picked up my game and started reading it.

I really like the character of Erika, and her determination to solve cases. Some of our favourites from the previous two books are back, being Moss and Peterson, and I love how well they all work together.

This one had lots of twists and turns, and the unexpected ending really throws you for a loop. I had some suspicions about certain characters that were kind of in the right direction, but I didn't guess the full story at all.

Definitely recommend this series and looking forward to reading the next one.

My apologies, I haven't had a chance to read the first two books in this series and I feel that I would be doing a disservice to this book jumping in and reviewing it as a stand alone without the background story. I have heard nothing but great things about this series and author and hope to fit in the first book as soon as possible. Thank you so much for approving me for this book!

*****5 STARS*****

THIS was my ABSOLUTE favorite by Robert Bryndza from his DCI Foster series! Oh how I missed Erika and the rest of the characters.

As mentioned in the synopsis, Decetective Erika Foster gets a tip-off that could be a major break in one of her narcotics cases, but what she finds has nothing to do with narcotics. Foster discovers the skeletal remains of a young child, a little girl who went missing decades ago, Jessica Collins.

Foster investigates further into the past and digs deeper to uncover the truth of what really happened on that day Jessica went missing, 26 years ago.

The twists in this novel had me guessing until the very end. The author did a fantabulous job in keeping me on my toes! I loved the ending and DID NOT see it coming.

If you haven't discovered Bryndza's Foster series, I HIGHLY recommend you stop what you are doing and grab The Girl In The Ice NOW!

Bravo on another wonderful novel in this series! BRYNDZA EARNED EVERY STAR!!

A cold case of missing child on her way to a party. I have not read this author before, but will now keep an eye out! Excellent series! I am off to find other titles!

I have read all the books in this series so far, and this one is another corker of a read.

Erika has her work cut out for her as this case has a lot of threads to untangle, but she does very well with her trusty colleagues Moss and Peterson along for support and assistance. She has never been a cop who doesn't rock the boat, but boy, she really gets things done!

This book has a little bit of everything: intrigue, family secrets, blackmail, a bit of romance.....

Well written, as usual. Highly recommended read from me.

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book. Thank you to Bookouture.

<b>"Beneath the water the body sank rapidly. She would lie still and undisturbed for many years but above her on dry land, the nightmare was just beginning."</b>

Whoa! This is 'up there' for my best of 2017 reads without a doubt! Just one more chapter, ok, one more then, it's only a few pages, then I'll sleep/eat/do the housework etc. This book kept relentlessly calling out to me!

Robert Bryndza is now one of my favourite crime fiction authors after reading just one of his books. I can't wait to get my mitts on the other three in this series. And I want them as proper books, to be held and shown off to all who see me reading them. I highly recommend this series to everyone!

What a fascinating read this was. What I liked about it most was how easily and quickly I was sucked into the plot. The chapters were well structured and so easy to follow as they were short and straight to the point. Every single character was written with such individuality that I was able to create a very vivid picture of them. Their relationships with each other were believable, their mannerisms and quirks were unique and it made this police procedural an absolute joy to read.

My favourite character was definitely the main protagonist, Detective Erika Foster. She was ballsy and a bit arrogant, but I liked her a lot. Considering the traumatic times she'd endured in her professional past, it's refreshing to read about a character that's come out the other side and isn't dwelling too much on how awful her life had been. Good on ya gal!

Throughout the entire book there was twists and turns that made this the ultimate pageturner. (Or in this case, a <i>screen swiper</i> as this was an e-book!)

The conclusion was just so damn satisfying, because I simply <i>did not see it coming at all!</i> Oh, how I love open-mouth moments in a book. I cannot stress enough how much I enjoyed this, I didn't want it to end! I'm just so glad there's three others to read, I am looking forward to finding out how Erika Foster got to where she was in this story, she's such a brilliant character.

<b>I'd like to thank the author, Robert Bryndza, the publisher, Bookouture and NetGalley for the opportunity to read this in exchange for an honest review</b>

Another superb book from Robert Bryndza. I thought I'd read this back in October, but must have had my eyes closed -- so I did what I almost never do and re-read it!

I wasn't disappointed. Clever, dark, twisty, turny - another excellent tale of Erika Foster and her crime-fighting skills. Quite honestly it took my breath away on several occasions.

I did work out where it would end up, but that didn't detract from the book. Loved it!! Can't wait for the next book...

After reading the first two in the series I was looking forward to this one, this author gets better and better with each book, the first two were great, this one is even better.

The body of a young girl who went missing 26 years ago is found in a disused quarry, during a search for a drugs stash. Erika Foster must use all her skills to find out what happened and who is responsible, which is not an easy task given the time that has passed.

A gripping thriller and I can't wait for the next one in the series.

Oh my word Robert Bryndzas books just keep getting better and better. This is book 3 in the DI Erika Foster series and it was just amazing. I love when I'm reading a crime thriller and have no idea what's going to happen next. I'm thinking one person is guilty and then suddenly realise it could be someone else. A massive five stars from me.

The third book in the detective Erika Foster series. I actually liked this one more than the other two-which I loved! Robert Bryndza is honestly becoming one of my favorite authors.

Hopefully, there will be a fourth book!

I received a copy of this book through NetGalley for an honest opinion. My thanks to Robert Bryndza and

I was half way into the book before I realized it was 3rd in a series....no wonder i felt lost. I am serious OCD about stuff like that so I have set the book aside until I can read the first 2.

Erica Foster's team is dragging a quarry to find evidence for a big case against a local drug dealer when her colleagues pull up more than they expected. They pull up a skeleton of a young girl. Erika, who's heart isn't exactly into convicting drug dealers, asks to be lead on the case. She dives into the 26 year old case of a missing girl named Jessica Collins. After hitting one dead end after another, Erika finally thinks she is onto something and will do everything necessary to bring justice to little Jessica.

This is a fantastic book. I just love this author and I love the Erika Foster series. I highly recommend this book and the entire series. The characters are well-developed and realistic. I love the team of Foster, Moss, and Peterson. I think this is the best book so far and I can't wait for the next book in the series!

I received this book through Netgalley.com in exchange for an honest review. Thank you to Netgalley.com, to Bookouture, and to Robert Bryndza for this wonderful opportunity.

I NEED book for in this series NOW!! I love this series, love, love, love it. Each one stands on it's own as wonderfully written, the mysteries are well thought out and concluded with everything wrapped up, the characters are awesome, you want to spend your time reading about them and you're invested in them.

Each one gets better and better and I am eagerly, and somewhat impatiently, waiting for #4. Everyone should read this series. Everyone!
