** spoiler alert ** I enjoyed the Joy/Honor/Frank storyline more so than the Lilly/Sally storyline. I almost wish the story had gone a different direction because, in the end, the dress was destroyed and came in second place. While Honor originally seemed like the "honorable" character, it was actually Joy who I liked the most. She was, for all her faults, more real and pure-hearted.

I think this makes a good summer-y beach read.

The Dress was a great read- one of those stories that is sweet & a little predictable but not in a bad way. The author has a beautiful writing style & the story sorta sweeps the reader on a tidal wave of romance.

It was a great read for a dreary Sunday afternoon.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

I'm sorry to say I won't be reviewing this book after all. I wasn't able to stay interested in it. Thank you for the opportunity.

Enjoyable novel which goes back and forth between the 1950s, when a young designer named Honor is commissioned to make the titular dress for socialite Joy, and 2014, when fashion blogger Lily finds a picture of Joy in the dress and sets out to recreate it, told from all 3 of their perspectives. A little too long but an enjoyable book.

Although I was initially really drawn by the cover and blurb of this book, it took me a while to actually start to read it. Whilst I really liked the style of writing, it wasn't what I expected and unfortunately I really couldn't get in to the book. I'm really sorry and I wish the author every success with their future projects. Sorry.
