It was enjoyable to read. Well written. It was an informative and entertaining story of the life in the back end of a restaurant.

A competent memoir but it's very much in the spirit of Bourdain at times and I am a little tired of this culinary trope. More ego than self-awareness, I guess that's part of the job description for chefs who aspire to this kind of thing.

Some interesting background stuff in the context of Italy and a pro kitchen in Italy but there's not enough to distinguish it from the many similar chef-memoirs.
