I wasn't expecting a whole lot from this book. I had mentally relegated it to 'toilet reading' when I received it, but I was pleasantly surprised. While of course you can read this in the bathroom since the stories are relatively brief, it is definitely a cut above that type of book and I even plan to let my older children read it since they are always bothering me about listening to 'that old jazz stuff', plus my son is a big fan of Sherlock so this might be something they'll enjoy as well. The style is humorous, straight-forward, and factual. I love this and would like to read more by the author.

Artists are so interesting. Inspired! is a compilation of anecdotes about famous artists, writers, singers, actors, and a few of their muses. From scandals to ménage à trois, drug addictions, and kangaroo consumption (really!), this book has so many interesting little tidbits covering a variety of topics. I may be biased in that I love reading books that teach trivia, but seriously, this was excellent.

I highly recommend this one for trivia hounds and non-fiction devotees. Inspired! is a treat.
