The ideas in this book are not new. The difference being that this book takes a long-term look at the actions needed, providing daily steps in a 53 week programme that will lead you step by step through the process to success..

An exercise or assignment is given for each day of the week and the reader is encouraged to use a journal to keep track of progress and reflect on setbacks.

I love the way the book starts - an introduction to Rhett’s state of mind when he was frustrated with his first business venture. Many business owners can relate to this.

The book promises to help Entrepreneurs “lead better, work differently and more focused and ultimately find the success you want”.

It does that and more.

Rhett makes you read this book like a daily devotional and write down answers to the poignant questions asked to reveal what your strength is and how it can be channeled to grow your business.

Ideally, this book should be read weekly as it is written to take 53 weeks to complete.

Each week, daily exercises are provided for the reader to get to know themselves better.

Rating: 5/5

Favourite Quote: “Each time you face a fear and overcome it, you gain great strength. One of the ironic things about fear is that it becomes a mental obstacle for most people, causing them to be less of the person that they could be in life.”

Recommendation: This book provides step by step/ walkthrough advice on how you can transform your mindset and business as an entrepreneur. Think of it as a daily devotion for entrepreneurs. It really is. You really do need this book.

Just offering a quick review of several new and forthcoming business related titles from a variety of publishers: [online post includes comments about 5 titles, including this one]

THE ENTREPRENEUR’S BOOK OF ACTIONS by Rhett Power (McGraw-Hill Professional) contains "Essential Daily Exercises and Habits for Becoming Wealthier, Smarter, and More Successful." Power discusses the need for knowledge, persistence, and patience in order to help a business grow, explaining that he wrote this book in order to help others succeed in a more focused manner. The book is designed to take 53 weeks to complete and encourages time, commitment, and reflection from the reader to actually change and create new habits. The first tasks, about defining your purpose, fit nicely with the recent New York Magazine article "In 2017, Pursue Meaning Instead of Happiness."
