Description

A tragic accident. A family in crisis. And a killer watching every move.

Five months after the mysterious death of his wife, Stephen Porter is pulled from a dreamless sleep by a midnight phone call. His 17-year-old daughter Sara is stranded in a blizzard near the top of a mountain beyond their suburban home. She's terrified and unable to stop crying as she begs him to come to her rescue.

Unfortunately Stephen went to bed just an hour before after a night of binge drinking. With his blurred vision and unsteady balance he knows it’s dangerously irresponsible to get behind the wheel. But he heads out into the snowstorm to bring Sara home.

High school teacher Kieran O’Shea is also behind the wheel, searching for his autistic younger brother Aidan, who is wandering aimlessly through the storm on that same mountain. Kieran is terrified—of the voices in his mind, that Aidan will be taken from him, and that he may soon be arrested for murdering three women.

In a matter of minutes Stephen will encounter Kieran and drive headlong into a collision that will force him to unlock the secret of his wife’s death, avoid prosecution, and protect his children from violence that hits all too close to home.

"Fatal Option is one of the pleasant surprises of the season -- a sharp, intelligent thriller from Chris Beakey that finds a grieving man in a snowstorm, his car spinning out of control ... caught between the fate of his children and the fates of others. “Emotionally visceral. The violence and action sequences really gripped me and I loved the strength of the teenage girl, Sara. I loved the ending too. What subtlety! There's a sense of the world restored but not quite. Not sugar-coated and not expected either. Completely real.”

This was a very compelling thriller! What happens when you try to cover up an accident and things spiral out of control? This is Stephen's predicament as he attempts to rescue his daughter, Sara in a blizzard. There are many secrets and lies, cover-ups, and complications. It's a novel about loss, reconciliation, hope, and redemption. Perhaps it's what every family fears; what can tear them apart in a matter of a few seconds. I stayed up late to finish it and so glad I did!

Very good thriller. Two people out on the same night during a storm looking for loved ones. What follows is a chance meeting between Stephan and Kiera that will embark them upon a journey neither will forget. Suspense abound is found in this book. The author pulls you in and does not let go. I recommend this book if you enjoy suspense. We all make choices and we ultimately have to deal with those consequences. This told it in a mesmerizing way. Its boldness and shocking ending left me breathless!
It's fantastic! I read the whole book in one day! And yes, none of my housework got done today!

A well paced novel exploring the mystery surrounding an apparent suicide, and the turmoil of a family finding their footing under rocky circumstances in a new town. The town's inhabitants are not the easiest to get along with... especially with a killer amongst their midst. This novel had me staying up late at night to find out who and how and had twists that I did not see coming. A thoroughly enjoyable read that I would recommend to lovers of suspense.

Intense & riveting are only a couple of words that can accurately describe this book. I read this book straight through without putting it down! Chris Beakey’s sinister plot in Fatal Options will have you wondering what you would do if you were in Stephen Porter’s position. At what lengths would you go to protect & save your children?
Stephen Porter, a recent widower, is awakened in the middle of the night by a frantic phone call from his teenage daughter, Sarah. It is the worst blizzard of the winter & Sarah is stranded on a mountain top, at a place she should not have been. Her vehicle has left her stranded & she desperately wants to get home. Stephen hears his terrified daughter begging to be rescued. Stephen had been in bed for just an hour before the phone call. Earlier that evening he drank heavily while thinking about his late wife’s secrets & supposed suicide. Stephen knows he is in no condition to drive. After several failed attempts at getting his daughter help, Stephen must make a choice. He does what most parents would do, he chooses to try & rescue his daughter.
On this same night, a teacher at Sarah’s school, Kieran O’Shea is searching for his autistic brother, Aidan, who wondered off in the blizzard. Both boys have lived through their own personal hell. Kieran believes he is Aidan’s personal savior & he will do whatever it takes to keep Aidan safe.
Stephen & Kieran’s paths are destined to collide that night. While one man is worried of being arrested for murdering several women, the other man becomes a murderer.
It is not the fear, shame or regret that worries Stephen the most, it’s the retribution from the man who couldn’t save his brother.
This book will keep you in suspense from the first page to the last. The surprising twists & turns will have your heart & mind racing!
Bravo Chris Beakey, you now have an life-long fan!!

Stephen Porter is a single dad trying to raise his children. Having recently moved to the community, Sara and Kenneth are having trouble in school following the death of their mother in an accident that was ruled a suicide. On a snowy night Sara tells her dad she is going to a friend’s house nearby but she heads up the mountain for a romantic tryst with her teacher Kiernan, whose autistic brother Aidan she has been tutoring. The evening turns frightening and tragic when Aidan runs out into the snow. Her car disabled, Sara calls her dad to come get her. Stephen know he has no business driving after he had been drinking but the police cannot go get Sara and she sounded scared so he heads up the mountain in the worsening storm. Involved in a hit and run accident Stephen makes a snap judgment that will have terrible repercussions. With many twists and turns the story evolves until all the main characters are once again on the mountain in the snow for the unexpected climax. I enjoyed the way the story wove several subplots together. It left me pondering how far a good person would go in a bad situation to save the ones he loves.

I received this book in exchange for an honest review.

I enjoyed this book so much I read it in only three days. I'd put it down, but have to keep coming back to it.

For me, a book is really good when I find myself involved in the story and invested in the characters.
As I read Fatal Option, I kept talking out loud saying things like, 'Who could do that?' or 'WHAT!REALLY?' or 'Oh, no!' And I'd get concerned about the characters, talking to them and giving advice or a scolding. Okay, it may sound goofy, but the book pulled me in.

There was action, mystery, and plot twists. I got confused sometimes with some of the transitions and I really wasn't happy with the ending. I think I just wanted to know more about what was going to happen to my characters.

But, truly it was such a fun book to read. Also, I kept thinking throughout that this would make a really good movie.

I will be reading Mr. Beakey's first book now and am following him on Goodreads.

Thank you Net Gallery for the opportunity to read Fatal Option by Chris Beakey. I had never heard of Chris Beakey and I liked the cover for this novel. Well I am glad I did - from start to finish, this is a really good book. When two forces collide on a dark road, on a snowy evening, all "hell breaks loose".
I could not put this book down and that hasn't happened to me in awhile.
This is a thriller and mystery. Readers will be on the edge of their seat.
Really good - RECOMMEND!

Stephen Porter, recently widowed due to his wife's presumed suicide and trying to deal with his two children's issues and problems, turns to alcohol as a means of solace. During a night of binge drinking he gets a phone call from his terrified 17 yr. old daughter who is caught in a blizzard near the top of a mountain after having lied to her father as to her whereabouts-on the mountain for a secret assignation. Knowing he has no business driving in his drunken state he heads out to find her and bring her home. At the same time a high school teacher is searching the same mountain trying to find his autistic younger brother. Suffice it to say there are intersecting plot lines reaching from the past to the present with secrets unearthed and many twists and turns that emerge from that one fateful night. Great writing and characterization. An excellent thriller and mystery you won't want to put down so be prepared for a long night.

An excellent story that engages you from the first and had me trying to decide what I would do if I were the dad being called by his daughter on such a night and in such conditions (won't say more as I never give plot away) and then the options of what would I do seem to keep on coming!
The characters were ones I easily could sympathise with so some were very likable whilst others definitely not. The plot was easy to follow on the whole and the descriptive passages came across so well I could feel the icy coldness of the mountainside.
So an almost five star for me with just the final couple of chapters not quite hitting the spot. I can't say too much without it being a spoiler but I just couldn't go with how Sara handled things and it did not ring true of how I would expect a young girl having had the experiences she did would have behaved.
All that said I will certainly read Chris Beaky again as he is a great writer.

There was certainly a lot going on with this book, I had to re -read a few pages as there were so many characters but once I'd settled into the story or stories and style of writing I buckled in for the ride.I saw another reviewer described the domino effect and that sums it up perfectly, at first the characters seem disconnected but it comes together as you read more.Interesting book, original and a good read. Thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for an ARC in return for an honest review.

Make sure you have a lot of day left before you start reading this book. You will not be able to put it down.

Outstanding read! My heartbeat was definitely going and it was only going one way and that was up - just like the side of the mountain which played a very big part in this story. A lot of twists, a lot of bad people which make for a lot of suspects and I thought I had it all worked out - WRONG! This was a tale that had me screaming at the characters - NO, don't go there. Like they could hear me. A most entertaining, thrilling, edge of my seat, stay up all night and read a chick lit next to calm the nerves kinda of read.

I have not read this author before, however, that will change.

Thanks to Post Hill Press for approving my request and to Net Galley for providing me with a free e-galley in exchange for an honest review.

Stephen Porter has just heard some terrible news about the insurance claim concerning his wife's death. He begins a night a binge drinking knowing that his son, Kenneth is safely in his room nursing a black eye after upsetting the school the school hot-head and his daughter, Sara is supposedly a few houses away in their cul-de-sac sleeping over at her friend Madison's house. However, when the weather begins to turn and the roads turn to ice, Stephen receives a call from Sara saying she is stranded on Rolling Road at a teacher's house and near the site of her mother's death, Stephen begins to panic. Eventually, he decides to go save his daughter himself even though he is a little buzzed. Stephen doesn't know that Aiden, the autistic younger brother of the teacher she was visiting is lost outside in the dark that night. When the collision inevitably happens, Stephen opens up a can of worms concerning the death of his wife, the death of three other women that died similarly, and the troubled mind of teacher, Kieran O'Shea.

This is the type of thriller where you just have to go along for the ride. Every time that I thought I had an idea of where the author was going with the story, there was a new twist. The suspense of the story is layered through carefully guarded secrets of many of the town's inhabitants. Secrets, the fact that we will do anything for our children and the struggle between good vs. evil were central themes. I do like that in many of the characters, there was a grey area between good and bad. Characters that I thought that I had pegged turned out to be someone different. Sara's teacher, Kieran turned out to be one of the most interesting characters, he was not exactly who I thought, but still harbored evil within. His relationship with Sara was something I'm still having trouble with, it seems like either Sara or Kieran should be smart enough to stop a romance that is asking for trouble. I also wish that Kieran's life was explored a little more; there was some back story, but it seemed like his story could have gone further. I can't say much more without giving things away, but in the end I was thoroughly surprised at how everything came out with a bang. I do wonder if anyone else in the town is alive afterwards and I truly wondered about the fate of Kieran and Stephen. Overall, an intense thriller that has a lot going on and will keep you guessing until the end.

Beakey manages to keep the plot tight in this thriller which starts off as unsettling as it means to go on, with a winter storm reminding the reader that they are not in control here.

What would we all do if our child needed us but we had to break the law in order to help her? Stephen Porter is faced with this moral dilemma when his teenage daughter calls him in the middle of the night after lying to him about where she was going. Now her car is broken down during a blizzard on the side of a mountain. There's tension and violence in the form of murders, suicides, child abuse, sexual dysfunction and accidental death but at its heart can be found the loving ties that bind.

This was a great read. There were so many twists and turns. It is hard to imagine that one decision can ruin your life. You always want to help your family but it is sometimes not the correct thing to do. I enjoyed this story. I received this book from Smith publicity for a fair and honest opinion that I gave of my own free will.

Chris Beakey takes a close look at what doing the right thing can possibly cost a family. This novel was tightly written to create a believable situation where drinking, driving and responsibility can affect the future of all parties concerned. What actually happens is often misconstrued through the lens of fear.

Excellent!

Fatal Option by Chris Beakey

Suspense Triller with plenty of twists.

This well written triller sucked the reader in, making them invest in the story.

The characters were well developed, each with their own personal demons they carried with them, giving them a sense of realness.

The plot was well developed, and moved fast enough to keep the reader interested, and at times, hanging for more. The twists keep the reader guessing until the end.

Review of FATAL OPTION by Chris Beakey

What a thrilling mystery! A one-session read because you just can't stop! Author Chris Beakey introduces multiple tangled plot lines, admirably maintains all, and leavens them with a sizable dose of humanity: emotions, mistakes, failings, success, regrets. Overarching are events that change lives, the kind of events about which reader and characters both ponder "if only--." My heart stayed in my throat the entire reading, and many times I wished I could reach into the story and shift the characters out of danger, or stop villains. Even the "bad guys" have their own backstory here, so that behavior which is not admirable is at least comprehensible.

I will definitely be anticipating more novels from author Chris Beakey and enjoying rereading FATAL OPTION.

I loved the mystery in this book. ☆☆☆☆☆rating.

This book left me with conflicted feelings. On one hand, by the end of the book, I disliked every character (except the brother Kenneth) as everyone made really terrible choices, for example at least four people had made decisions/took actions that directly led to different peoples deaths. On the other hand, the book was really fast paced and I couldn't put it down. Additionally, the story was anything but predicable, as the author makes it seem like the book is going down one path, only to switch directions quickly in the end. There were several moments where I literally said aloud "What, REALLY?", in an entertained way. So, if you want to read a book that is really entertaining, but might make you doubt the good in humanity, this is the book.

This is a fantastically thrilling book all about how far a person can be pushed in order to help the people he/she loves.
If you want something great to read, something gripping and thrilling and at the same time fast paced and easy to read but will still be very enjoyable, read this and enjoy the ride!

Very suspenseful from start to finish. Many mysteries going on simultaneously and then all come together for an exciting climax.
this author sends the reader in many emotional directions. I was glued to the pages.

Hang on to your seats, people! This is a fast-paced wild ride from the very first page. It would be difficult to unfold the plot without giving some serious spoilers, which I do not do. Suffice it to say that Stephen has no idea what brutal awfulness is coming for him, even after he thinks the worst (his wife’s mysterious death) has already happened. Sara and her brother Kenneth have no idea what unintended consequences can be, or what shades of darkness may hide in seemingly normal people’s lives. None of them know how a single choice can change many lives, or how fatal connections can be made anytime, anywhere in everyday life. They don’t know it until it is too late, and once they are careening down that black mountain winter road, there is no stopping what is coming…and coming…and coming….

Read it, you’ll see.

This book is written so tightly that I did not want to stop reading until I was done. When I finished, I took a deep breath, my first in hours, and promptly handed it off to a person (my mother, to whom I have listened ever since she finished it many years ago) pining for a book as intense as Intensity by Dean Koontz. She says she stayed up until she fell asleep, picked it back up as she made coffee in the morning, and took it with her to the bathroom all day. .She is still talking about Fatal Option being the closest she has gotten to that wonderful sustained tension she felt with the Koontz. No small praise. Way to go, Chris Beakey!

It is true, the action and suspense continues to rise throughout Fatal Option like a flood tide-,truly thrilling, all-encompassing, spreading out and up in an inexorable consumption of reason and other sane plot boundaries. It all makes sense, though I don’t know how. It even has a satisfying ending. The characters are easy to get to know, good or bad. Their choices may be cringe worthy, but it is easy to empathize. Beakey sets a mood sufficient to thrill, and the chill makes you want to grab a warm blanket to snuggle down. Overall, a fine read.

If you love a tight thriller, this is a good one.

You know those times in your life, where you think, 'Well things just can't get any worse' and then God damn it they do! Well that is at about that point that Stephen Porter is up to on the night of the blizzard.
The insurance company won't release any monies from his wife's life policy, as it is inconclusive as it whether she committed suicide or not.
The ins and outs of monthly commitments are a disaster.
His son has been badly beaten up at school.
And his has just been woken up with a phone call from his 17 year old daughter begging him to pick her up from the middle of nowhere. She is crying and begging for help.
Now more problems, his daughter lied about where she was going, the blizzard is worse, he is so tired and others could get drunk off his breath he has drunk that much. So here is the Fatal Option. His wife has already died up on those roads in very mysterious circumstances so he can't just leave his daughter there but he really isn't safe to drive, he knows that.
How I loved this story! I just haven't a clue how Chris Beakey could fit so much into a book this size, oh just a minute I do. Each page is packed with gripping stomach churning moments. The ones that every parent just hope and pray they will never have to face. I really took to Stephen Porter straight away, his character was never one that was written to get sympathy, he was just a typical parent stumbling through being a parent the best he could without 'the handbook' that non of us get. I had read the blurb but it didn't prepare me for what was inside the cover. Because wow it is packed with layer after layer of broken peoples stories that all come together piece by piece. My mind was reassessing the situation all the time as it went on, and what I had taken as first impressions of characters were constantly changing.
This is certainly a book that I will remember for a very long time as for all the layers it contained it was never complicated, it had such a very natural flow of all the elements  melting into one that gave me The Fatal Conclusion.

***************************************************

I read this book quickly as I wanted to see what would happen. I did find it pretty heavy, though. This story had, among other things, rape, murder, suicide, incest, child abuse (sexual, physical, and emotional), and a serial killer. Just mentioning these things as I know they can be triggers for readers. I did read it to the end, and I liked the ending as I felt it was positive. I felt for the main character as he was just an average joe who was in some bad situations and trying to make the best of it while he was trying to keep his life and his kids’ lives together. I will look for Mr. Beakey’s other titles!

Here’s a bit of info on the novel from Smith and a book trailer:

A father struggles as a single parent and connect with his children after his wife is killed in what appears to be an accident. One night his daughter calls during a severe blizzard distressed and begging for a lift home. He can’t help going to her assistance despite having had too much alcohol earlier in the night.
His teenage son and daughter are both struggling to come to terms with their peers, themselves and their family life after the death of their mother.
A local teacher cares for his autistic brother after they survive a traumatic childhood. He is also attracted to one of students.
The local detective in charge of the investigation has to decide between enforcing the law and friendship. Before the case is solved there will be more than one death and relationships will be tested to the max.
From the start I had doubts about the local teacher and if he was hiding something sinister. I swayed between thinking he was a good person struggling with demons or something worse. I had sympathy for the brother and sister and felt all their struggles. I was impressed how they got through some terrible times and to show more maturity than I expected.
Fantastic imagery created by this author. All the characters seemed so real and I felt like I was actually there as the scenes unfolded.
The ending was spectacular and I found my heart was in my mouth going from one person to another, crossing my fingers the wrong person wouldn’t get hurt. In the final pages something is revealed which may surprise and not surprise you.
Although I struggled with the thought of anyone doing the unthinkable and then deliberately covering their tracks I could also imagine the torment they would go through before and after making the wrong decision. I felt great admiration for someone who has the courage to right a wrong after keeping secrets for so long. At least the realization of the price to pay came before it was too late. I just hope I am never in a similar position.
I have to agree with others who say this author really does tell a great story of good people who do the wrong thing.
I can’t recommend this thriller enough. Make sure you put it on your reading list.
A big thank you for the free digital copy of this book provided by the publisher via Netgalley and the review is solely mine.

A drunk father (Stephen Porter) gets a phone call late at night from his daughter (Sara) who is stranded in a blizzard. She is secretly visiting a favorite high school teacher. Why? Stephen has lost his wife recently in a mysterious road accident. What makes it mysterious? Sara's dad gets in his car even though he is still drunk to drive. He gets in a collision. What happens to Stephen? A police detective is looking for the murderer who killed a local teacher.

This is a multi-plot story. There are suggestions throughout the novel about what each character has done. It is a novel that kept me wondering what was going to happen next. It is a thriller with a family plot.

I'm glad I set aside a few hours to read thia as I didn't want to put it down.I have strong views on what Stephen did-even if there is strong danger there is never a reason to drink drive. I'm not a parent, and I appreciate he was in a tricky situation. He did what he thought was best, even if it was going to ruin all their lives which were already fragile by their mother dying.

I loved how his daughter's situation was portrayed, how she was groomed into an inappropriate position, it shows how she was tempted with what she wasn't necessarily getting at home, but she lacked street smarts and wanted to be an adult. Her brother saw snippets of what was going on which did eventually got explained to their father.

It was horrifying and interesting to see how Stephen reacted to what he did. There's no question the guy in question, Kieran, a sleezebag, but I felt a bit sorry for him and the other person involved. Stephen goes to great lengths to cover his tracks, and the panic rose as the police started to hem him in. The end had me needing tissues as I was torn by the moral justice and the effect it had on his children. It goes to show good people can do bad things by accident.

There were so many gripping moments that I'm eagerly looking forward to rereading this. There are parts were awful things nearly happen, but thankfully they don't, although a few unexpected not nice things happen too. I think there is only 1 truly innocent person jn this tale, who I cried for what they suffer. There are some truly evil people in this world and they don't always get what they deserve. I'm looking forward to Chris's next book!

**This book was reviewed via Netgalley**

Fatal Option, by Chris Beakey, is a whirlwind collision of time, place, and players, where synchronicity is revealed in the obscuration of a ferocious blizzard.

As snows pile high, Stephen Porter is woken in the middle of the night to pick up his daughter whose car has died. Having had a prodigious amount of alcohol earlier that night, Stephen knows he should not drive. When AAA and the police both cannot help, Stephen makes the decision to go retrieve Sara despite the double dangers of ice and alcohol, rather than leave her to freeze or worse in the harsh winter weather. This choice sets off a chain of events that weave together the stories of no less than five different families, and reveal the truth behind a series of tragedies stretching back a decade or more.

Beakey’s fast-paced thriller snared my attention, and kept me up reading long after I should have retired to bed. A good book is a balm to the bittersweet of lost sleep, turning what insomnia makes an irritant into something savoured as time well spent, which Fatal Option surely did. This was a story showcasing both the absolute worst, and best of humanity, and all the gamut in between.

Da Vinci said ‘....everything is connected to everything else.’ This is a story of just how connected we all are. There are no coincidences; there is only synchronicity, and our ability (or not) to read it. The snowstorm is a catalyst that serves to reveal to those involved the truth of this. For some, it offers closure, for others, the astringent sting of new grief, and for yet others….perhaps it's the universe’s way of putting down the rabid dogs among us.

It isn't all about the darker side of life though. For several of our players in this dark drama, the destruction has prompted new growth in positive ways. It has offered second chances, and new beginnings. It is a story of life and love, of death and grief, and ultimately, a story of interconnection, growth, and change.

🎻🎻🎻🎻🎻 Highly recommended if you enjoy suspenseful thrillers/dramas like James Patterson's Alex Cross books, or Jeffrey Deaver’s Lincoln Rhyme novels.

Fatal Option by Chris Beakey is a very dark and gritty thriller. Different than the heavy police procedural thrillers I've been reading recently (so a very nice change of pace). How far would you go to help your loved ones and at what moral cost?

On the coldest night of the year, Stephen Porter is woken up at midnight by a phone call. His 17-year-old daughter Sara is stranded in a blizzard near the top of a mountain, nowhere near where she told him she was going to be. She's terrified and unable to stop crying as she begs him to come to her rescue. Stephen had just gone to bed after a night of binge drinking - a way of coping with the recent and untimely death of his wife. He can barely stand or see straight, but it's a risk he's willing to take in order to get to his daughter.

High school teacher Kieran O’Shea is also behind the wheel, searching for his autistic younger brother Aidan, who is wandering aimlessly through the storm on that same mountain. Kieran is also terrified—of the voices in his mind, of the possibility that Aidan will be taken from him, and of the certainty that he will soon be arrested for murdering three women.

In a matter of minutes Stephen will encounter Kieran and drive headlong into a collision that will force him to unlock the secret of his wife’s death, avoid prosecution, and protect his children from violence that hits all too close to home.

This book was a lot darker than I expected it to be. You learn that there is a consequence to all of your actions, and the Porter family is slowly learning those consequences. While I did enjoy this book, there was a lot going on and a lot of characters. Sometimes they were hard to keep straight, but otherwise I loved it!

I give this a 4/5 stars!

A big thanks to the author and publisher for a copy in exchange for my honest review!

A real page turner about a father willing to do anything to protect his family and the consequences of those actions. This book is hard to put down once you start reading it!

Many thanks to NetGalley and publisher for advancing me a copy of “Fatal Option” by Chris Beakey in exchange for an honest review.

Simply amazing. Gripping? Yes. Suspenseful? Yes. A thriller? Yes. Fast Paced? Yes. “Fatal Option” is a must-read. I was hooked right from the start and kept on reading till the very end. The characters were intriguing, each one having his/her place in the story. When I finished, I kept thinking about all that went on. Talk about a novel that’s thought-provoking. I questioned everything including each character and what they did and their behaviour. Would I have done the same thing when I was a teenager? As an adult it's easy to give your opinion, say what's right and what's wrong because it's not happening to you but if you really think about it, put yourself in the exact situation, would your opinion change? I'm not a parent but had I been, would I have done the same thing the father did? There are many subplots the author has added and still, he delivers a well-written novel with substance that flows smoothly. The beginning, middle and end, all of it worked. I don’t want to give anything away so I’ll end my review here.

I love it when a book goes dark. Especially when it's not expected! Win!
Sometimes it was hard to keep track of the many characters the book was laden with, but it didn't take away too much from the whole of the story.

Secrets, protecting children, choices made that you can't take back.... we've seen this before in other novels but this takes a police procedural into a darker place that I love. Want to know more? You should read the book - I'm afraid to say too much or I'm going to give it all awayyyyyyy
