My Husband, Peter Tilden Hitchcock's legacy lives on with
Same Time...Same Station. Feeling our relationship was special, he wanted me to
write about our strong love and the compassion we shared during 54 years to
include love letters that kept us close. Peter wanted to reach out to those
coping with Parkinson's. It is amazing how he accepted the disease -- to live
in the present, enjoying life. I hope my words are inspiring, uplifting, and
even challenging.
Same Time... Same Station is my first book, an
ode to love. In the 1980s, as a
freelance writer of children's magazine articles, "The Big White
Birds," about whooping cranes, was accepted by YOUNG AMBASSADOR. It was put on tape, in braille, and in
different languages. I then wrote three
picture books working with editors at Philomel, Albert Whitman, and Harcourt
Brace Jovanovich. This came to an end
because of my accident: Trip to Heaven and Peter's diagnosis of Parkinson's
disease. I look forward to working on
the picture books soon.

This book isn't going to be for everyone. I think those who have a partner suffering from a debilitating disease will appreciate this book most. It is a beautiful story, but really sad, too. Have tissues ready. Amazing what love can help you survive.
