This is the most gut wrenching twister of a book - you feel as if you are in one of the biggest twister in Kansas - and in the middle of that twister you are in the harshest roller-coaster in Busch Gardens. Yeah that serious. Ms. Brynes knows what she is doing in this novel - I love how she has this starting of and then you are strapped in and you didn't even know it - and your off - Summer's has to make a life altering decision in the beginning of the book - and I do mean life altering - and this takes her to her ex - and then they start to hang to get things working - who did what and so on - I don't want to ruin the book for you - it is so intense - and in all this intenseness(ok I will tell you - there is a death and they try to figure out who did it....like you didn't know) - Ms. Bryenes add's love - or did she? ya'll you really have to read this book - it is so unreal - then the ending takes you on this twister and rollercoaster and it ends you with dismounting them at the same time - yeah - serious - you are blown away.

Purple Knot is a book that features romance, suspense, and action. It keeps you engaged and has you rooting for the characters to finally make their relationship work.

Reyna Cruz is a private investigator who has moved to California to escape the emotional pain of her past. She left behind a best friend, Summer, who is in an abusive marriage. Reyna was engaged to her Summer's twin brother, Jimmy, and despite the distance between them, Jimmy and Reyna still love one another. When Summer is brutally attacked, Reyna and Jimmy are forced together. As Reyna copes with Summer's death, she finds comfort from Jimmy and they decide to give their relationship another chance. As the clues to Summer's attack become more and more disturbing, Reyna begins to investigate Summer's husband. When she pulls back the layers of the investigation, she finds herself and her associate, Salem, to be in danger. She is warned to back off. Reyna continues to investigate and it only gets more dangerous for her and for Jimmy as she gets closer to the truth.

Purple Knot is full of twists and turns that keep you guessing. It really held my interest and I was thrilled with the way the book ended. I really liked the characters and found myself really rooting for Reyna and Jimmy to finally put their relationship first. I loved the thread of faith that wove through the book. It really shows us that with God's strength we can let go of our anger and begin to heal from our wounds.
