This is a fun book that made me smile and laugh. I love the characters, from sweet Katie who can't seem to get through a day without some type of accident or disaster, to her group of friends/co-workers that amp up Katie's natural tendencies towards disaster - - all leading to laugh out loud adventures.

Fans of the genre will love this book. It opens with Katie under arrest in France, then shifts to a look back at some of the adventures that led to her marrying Cooper, the famous author she fell in love with. Some of the scenes in her look back are hilarious, but some of them were also in book one. I love this author's work, but was disappointed that some of the content was in the first book, so I gave four stars instead of five I would have otherwise rated.

For the Love of Kate by Erica Lucke Dean is the second book in the Katie Chronicles Series and was released by Red Adept Publishing, LLC on April 18, 2017. First, I want to say that I love this book more than the first. Erica Lucke Dean does an amazing job in creating a story with an outstanding setting that makes it feel like you are really there and the characters are written so brilliantly that they feel like you know them, like they are your friends. This book is such a fun read and made me laugh a lot. Katie is type of person who is prone to accidents or disaster and that makes the story more interesting. I also love the fact that she is married to Cooper, the famous author that she feel in love with. This is the perfect spring time read that will leave you with a warm heart and stars in your eyes.

I hadn't read the first in the 'Katie Chronicles' so I am new to the characters and author. This, however, didn't matter to the storyline and I don't feel like I was missing something not having read the first book. The story is told by Katie herself, an accident prone, likable (loveable even) twenty-something who, to put it mildly, gets herself into some sticky situations! I particularly liked some of the cast of her friends and colleagues, who make the story even funnier. When the book starts with her in a police station in Paris, I have to say after she goes from that to telling the story of how she and her boyfriend got together, I seemed to forget how the book started and had to tie the link in at the end when it went back to that. My only criticism, and the reason I gave 4 stars, is that I did feel at times the book and storyline were a little far-fetched. I did, however, manage to lose myself completely in the story, especially the bit on the boat which was particularly hilarious - if a tad unlikely :)
I would recommend this book to those who would like a bit of a giggle, it's an easy read and I would read more by this author, particularly a follow up to this one.

That was as brilliant as the first book in the series. It got me giggling like a school girl at times (the wax incident was genius). We get to read about how they got to be married, more secrets, some misunderstandings and more clumsy moments with Katie and her crazy life. We have the old gang and new friends in this book, all of them so charming. It's so beautifully written, and I love the with in it. It can be read as a standalone but I recommend reading the first book; it's another jewel.

Katie Maxwell is newly married when her husband’s job takes them on a trip to Europe where she finds herself returning to her sleuthing ways when the project is surrounded in secrecy. Unfortunately Katie’s amateur detective work lands her in hot water and forces her to try to talk her way out of a Parisian jail cell.

When the French detective asks Katie to start at the beginning and what brought her to his city and the unfortunate circumstances Katie couldn’t help but tell the tale of what led up to her wedding and time in the city. Katie had been ready to give up her sleuthing on the days leading to her wedding but she just couldn’t help herself taking her on the overseas adventure.

For the Love of Katie is the second book in the Katie Chronicles. While this is the second book in the series and we did meet Katie and her husband in the first I do believe if one wanted to read just this adventure it would still read OK by itself. You get to know Katie and her quirky personality along with all the other characters quite well in just this edition.

For me with this installment of the story I found myself beginning to question Katie and her constant worry over her relationship. At some point Katie will need to trust her partner or the relationship will be doomed but Katie’s antics also lead to some hilarious adventures so I also can’t see reading her story without them. As with the first book I found myself laughing quite often and just loving the story but hopefully Katie’s brush with a jail cell with calm her trust issues in her relationship in the future.

I received a copy from the publisher via NetGalley.

This is a great book; this is the second book in the Katie Chronicles series written by Erica Lucke Dean. Newlywed Katie Maxwell is ready to settle down and leave her amateur detective days behind. But when the veil of secrecy surrounding her husband’s latest project takes them to Europe, her penchant for sleuthing lands her in some serious hot foreign water. This is a great book with a wonderful story and well developed characters. This book will keep you reading long into the night. If you are looking for a great book, then you need to read this book. I am looking forward to reading the next book by this great author. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced reader’s copy of this book. The free book held no determination on my personal review.

I truly enjoyed this rom-com that is more com than rom. It’s a follow up book of Ms. Dean’s To Katie with Love, which is deliciously hilarious by the way, and shares the story of how Katie and Cooper get engaged, married, pregnant and remain out of jail.

While it doesn’t have as much romance as the first, it is still chock full of shenanigans with our heroine who seems to fall into disaster without even trying. I missed the connection she has with the hero, but what we have of them together is amazing. As a couple they just work. He’s so patient and loving with her when she’s making some of the biggest messes imaginable. No one does it for him like she does.

This is definitely a fast pace read with some of the best secondary characters in a comedy novel. You won’t be able to second guess what anyone is going to do. They’re all pretty crazy. The comedy and banter is mature however, and I promise you’ll be wearing a smile throughout the whole book.

Told in heroine’s POV
Can be read as a standalone
Totally Safe but there is a little other woman drama

Fun, laugh out loud story which I really loved. Great characters. I'm now going to read book one of the series as I enjoyed it so much but this book can be read without reading the previous one. Why would you want to though : )

This is the second book in this series by this author. I haven't read the first book in this series but it didn't matter one bit. This book was so funny, it had me laughing out loud several times. The characters were fantastic and were so easy to connect with. This author is quickly becoming one of my favourites the more I read. I can't wait to read more from this author in the future.
Highly recommended

It took me a while to get into this book. I don't know if that was partly because I hadn't read the first in the series so I found it harder to like the characters. Once I did get involved, I enjoyed the story and became invested in the outcome. I now want to go back and read the first book.

Advanced Reader Copy (ARC) provided by the Author and Publisher via NetGalley in exchange for an fair and honest review.

This is a truly inventive, madcap book. Erica Luke Dean's heroine, Katie, is truly unique, a train wreck for sure, but definitely unlike anything I have ever read before. But, I've got to say up front that contemporary romance is not my usual genre of choice. This book careens from one hair-brained scene to another. Half of these would have been sufficient, this is just hilarious overkill.

Katie is a four months pregnant and in handcuffs in a police station in Paris. It seems that she was caught stalking her husband, dressed as one of his groupies (he's a famous author of an insanely popular vampire series.) The nice (not) police officer doesn't believe she is his wife. How she got there is this story she tells the very understanding (not) police officer. Since Katie has a little trust issue with her new husband, Cooper, this story she tells starts a ways back before the wedding. Oh, my, what a tale.

This story had much less suspense or romance than the first, but more comedy and a good dose of Katie bonding with her friends and family.

I really enjoyed all of the hijinx and laughed outloud, literally, more times than I could count! The situations, the dialogue and the screwball - but endearing- supporting characters were fantastic for a good chuckle.

It was nice to see Katie and Cooper more casual and relaxed, and they were very much a regular couple - with a bit "I Love Lucy" mixed in. Cooper was as lovely as ever, and the way he handled all that Katie got herself into was both amusing and sweet.

Overall, I thought this was a fun and light-hearted continuation of Cooper and Katie's story.

For the Love of Katie is the 2nd book in the Katie Chronicles series. The first book, To Katie with Love, I had read previously but if you really wanted to, this second book could be read as a standalone.

Katie is an amateur detective, or so she thinks, and her sleuthing ways land her in jail in Paris. She speaks no French and is trying to talk her way out of jail. This time she was caught stalking... her husband?! And that's what lands her in jail. Oh, and she's pregnant. When the police ask her to "start from the beginning" she goes almost all the way back and we find out all of the events that happened leading up to her wedding.

In addition to having an awesome name, Katie is a fun character that gets in all sorts of strange and hilarious predicaments and I am looking forward to reading more about her and Cooper in the future!

I received a free e-copy of this book in order to write this review. I was not otherwise compensated.

I adore this couple! This is not a standalone and you must read book 1 first. Book 1 is Katie and Coopers tale of them meeting and falling in love. Book two is them getting engaged and all the antics Katie gets into up until their wedding.

Both books are adorably funny. The author has provided a clean, romantic comedy with Katie and Coopers story. Katie gets into one predicament after another and just had me laughing the whole way through.

This series has lots of comical side characters that added even more to the storyline. This is definitely a favorite for me and will be one I re-read. ARC provided by NetGalley.
