NEW ORLEANS MAGIC SERIAL

After a murder at a voodoo ceremony in a charming New Orleans bistro, three street cops, Jordan O’Reilly, Liam O’Reilly, and Zachary Doucet, have a personal stake in solving the case. But if they meddle in the investigation, they may get thrown off the force--or worse.

PART 2: LIAM

Liam O’Reilly doesn’t have to wear the uniform to be a cop, he is the uniform. Disciplined and skeptical, Liam doesn’t believe in voodoo any more than he does in lasting love. But then he meets brash defense attorney Simone Jones… and his carefully structured world spins out of control.

New Orleans Magic: Jordan... Liam... Zachary... Each of these compelling stories ends with an HEA for the hero and heroine. But only the full set will finally get to the bottom of the murder mystery. Be sure to read them all!

Overall a unique and well-written romance. Interesting.

Liam is the second part in the New Orleans Magic series. I struggled to connect with part 1 and unfortunately my opinion didn’t change with this part. The concept is really good but the characters are not connecting with me. I have read other books by these authors and loved them so I will continue reading their work

I am really liking this series. I just wish it was a longer book, these short stories are not long enough to connect with the story or characters

Liam is the second book of a Paranormal-Romance-Suspense trilogy called New Orleans Magic, and I found it to be better than the first.
Liam is a straight laced cop with baggage of his own, and Simone, the sassy heroine. I found both characters to be very likable, and easy to become invested in.
The mystery continued from the first book and took a surprising twist. Enter Simone and Liam to try and solve the mystery. Their relationship felt a little rushed, but I will be looking to see what happens in book 3.

In this, the second instalment of the trilogy, sees Jordan arrested for the murder at Camille Dupree's restaurant. His brother Liam has been suspended for helping his brothers 'fictional' attempted escape. Liam joins forces with Jordan's Defence Attorney Simone Jones to clear his brothers name...only to loose control every time she is near.

I'm really enjoying this trilogy. Each book has a great set of characters, within the continuous storyline about voodoo, murder and romance.

Next and final instalment...Zachary by Patricia Rosemoor.

"Liam" is middle of three novellas by three different authors about three (see a pattern here) brothers who are New Orleans cops. It works as a serial and is very good. The plot and writing is seamless and getting to know each brother, and the women they come to love, is wonderful. This is pure escapist fare so don't look for anything other than entertainment.

Liam is Jordan's older brother and a NOPD cop too. He knows that Jordan is innocent but a detective, Yancy, with a grudge against the O'Neill brothers is out to see him convicted. Liam partners up with Jordan's defense attorney, Simone. Simone has received evil voodoo threats and has had an attempt on her life. She is in danger and Jordan is determined to protect her, find the real killer and try to ignore the attraction for her.

Liam must investigate carefully with his friends in a case that he doesn't believe in the circumstances. Then finding Simone, his belief is challenged more. Second book in this series. Looking forward to the last one.
Ebook from Netgalley and publishers with thanks. Opinions are entirely my own.

Liam written by Ann Voss Peterson is part 2 of the New Orleans Magic. Okay, I like this part better than I did part one. I don't know whether it was the character of Liam who didn't really have any serious issues....just the routine mess of being a cop. Be that as it may, I found that this story held my attention more than Jordan story.

This story finds again one of the O'Reilly attempting to discover who is murdering the patrons of the New Orleans bistro. In any case, this one is moving closer to home, when, Jordan winds up on the flip side of the law, and it's up to his sibling, Liam to clear him before he turns into a dead man walking.

In this story, the mystery is coming noticeably clear. I think I know the individual who's doing the grisly killing and I think I know the reason why.
