Description

Two FBI agents are caught in a merciless vigilante’s crosshairs in New York Times bestselling author Cynthia Eden’s electric Killer Instinct series

Sheltered in the shadows of the Smoky Mountains is the suspect who’s summoned FBI agent Macey Night’s fears to the surface. Every day that the “Profiler,” a vigilante serial killer, escapes justice is another day she’s reminded of what it is to be a ruthless predator’s prey. Capturing him is a craving deeper than anything she’s felt in a long time. But Agent Bowen Murphy, equal parts sexy and volatile, seems hell-bent on changing that. Working together—needing, living and breathing each other—they’re entwined to distraction.

Bowen’s used to operating on impulse: act, don’t feel. Now Macey and the controlled terror behind her beautiful eyes have him rethinking everything, including his rule to never get close to a colleague. He’s willing to fight for a future with Macey, but the consequences of love could be deadly.

Advance Praise

RT Book Reviews: Eden’s tale is a frightening look into the minds of serial killers. In the third Killer Instinct book, FBI agents are chasing after a killer so smart that he is luring other active serial killers in the Smoky Mountains and taking them out. The main characters are being hunted while also learning that there are strong feelings between them — both storylines blend flawlessly. Readers will enjoy the suspense mixed with the developing relationship.” (4 stars!)

An excellent thriller with some steamy romance. There were a lot of twists and surprises in the story. I look forward to further books in this series.

Now this is what a great Psychological Thriller looks like. I gotta tell you I found myself gripping my Kindle so tight that I got cramps in my fingers. Don't start this book until you've got a free block of time to read nonstop cause you won't want to lay it down or stop to eat. My husband swore I gave him killer looks anytime he tried to engage me in conversation while reading this book. I just remember it was about 3 AM when I finished and had to race to the bathroom as I hadn't moved for hours. I also loved that the twisty ending had me guessing right up until the very end. Kudos to Ms Eden as that doesn't happen too often. I did figure out a tiny part but not the majority of it. Though this is the third in the series, it can definitely be read as a stand-alone.
