Featured Reviews

Sun and Shade is an early level reader science book with beautiful pictures of sunshine and shade, moist and dry, the position of the sun in the solar system. It compares and contrasts in simple language for a child to understand and early readers can read for themselves. Good for school and public libraries, and early learning centers.

That was a solid introductory science book with helpful sections at the back for educators and parents.

I liked how it compared two concepts. However, the first thing I thought of was “Sol o sombra,” important for bull fights. I was a little disappointed that it wasn’t in there, but I understand why it wasn’t.

Sun and shade is a great science book for young readers. The photographs contrasting sun and shade make understanding what they are reading much easier. There are many high frequency words in here which adds to its appeal.
