A Note From the Publisher
The Read and Discover Science series is an early introduction to science at low reading levels. These nonfiction, beginning readers align with Next Gen Science Standards. Reading and content reinforcement activities in the back. Great concept for the book. While the pictures match the descriptions on the corners, sometimes the vocabulary words to quite work. For instance, what differentiates ocean, river, pond, lake? The pictures chosen could easily be similar things at different scales.
A good start for sure. But just adding a few more details would save a lot of confusion.

Landforms is a beginning to read book in the Earth Science series. This is the perfect book for young early readers to learn about the science of landforms and the many shapes they take in our earth. It is easy to read and the photographs are in gorgeous colors, and truly make it easy to understand what mountains, plateaus, hills, etc. are. The reading word list is simple and geared for early readers. I recommend this series for elementary school libraries, ESL programs, public libraries, and early learning centers that teach science, as well as preschools.
