Description

“The wolf looked up at her with those great yellow eyes and Rose saw within their wild storm of primitive emotions a spark of more than animal intelligence. She realised that she still had a sense of the man that had cared for her.”

Rose is plunged into a world of magic and monsters and must learn to master magic, or be consumed by it. At the same time, she learns that she may have to work with the Elf Eloo and the Werewolf Kye – creatures that she believed evil – to save her sister Robin from dark magic users.

A vivid fantasy adventure.

Hey everyone! I have to tell you, when you read this book from the start, it is a Bible of magic, myth, and marvel til the end! It starts with two beings, a werewolf by the name of Kye and his lover, the panther- esque elf Eloo, rescuing a human girl named Rose from a villainous creature by the name of Kain who eventually disappears into thin air. Kye and Eloo nurse Rose back to health from her wounds and they go on an epic journey to attend an important event termed, the Moot, to discuss battle plans against the darklings which are consisted of evil orcs and goblins and other filthy creatures enemies to Eloo and Kye and every other enchanting creature of the Wereding world (where this series gets its name from).

Along their eye-opening journey (well, for Rose that is), they all discover that Rose naturally knows how to command magic (which is a surprise to Rose herself because she personally is anti-magic and has always thought that because she was human she did not have a connection to magic at all). Near the end of the book, she is totally unprepared for the revelation that one of the leading fantastical beings at the moot tells her. I won’t spoil it for you but it is indeed very intriguing and makes you want to get book 2 in this very interesting series to find out what will happen to Rose and her Wereding friends.

Now about the magical creatures in this book… Boy (or girl), you will get more than a bucketful of them as they range from snake hybrids to dryads to griffins to lizard men to centaurs to a manticore and so many more! Some of them will amaze you while others will simply scare you out of your pants as they may seem malevolent with their characteristics but in actuality are friends of Kye and Eloo.

I recommend this book to the dreamer, the artist, the fantasy-phile, and/or the lover of myths and yeah, a little bit of horror because you’ll be entertained. Its vast descriptions of the Wereding creatures’ powers, characteristics, and colorings will inspire you the reader creatively and artistically. It’s a mental and sensory masterpiece you know? You won’t feel bad with this purchase, you will have an experience of a lifetime. Get it and be amazed. Be hypnotized. Get bewitched by Eloo, Takana, Selene, Hecate, and more!

I absolutely enjoyed this book. Thanks to Kindles Unlimited I was able to read this more than once and then read the next books in the series. I love the magic of this book, who doesn't love the paranormal, especially the sexy ones that appear in this book. There at so many magical characters you just have to read this book. Thank you NetGalley and Christian Boustead for allowing me to read this book and write a honest review.

Can you imagine finding out you aren't just human? What if the mystical creatures you were raised to believe were evil turned out to be the only ones who could help you? Follow along as Rose tries to save her family and find justice for her father, all while having everything she was raised to believe challenged. Brilliantly written.

I found it a great pleasure to read this book. When I pick up my tablet and don’t want to put it down or be disturbed then I know I am going to enjoy writing the review. This is one of those happy days!

This book has some wonderfully crafted characters and a really well thought out plot that took me on a wonderful, exciting fantasy journey.

Christian Boustead has crafted an amazing and vast fantasy world that feels as well developed as the superb characters that we encounter. It really does leave us wanting more and sets the pace and expectations for further books. It leaves questions unanswered but is a well rounded well written first in series.

As a fan of the fantasy genre, I found The Awakening of Magic a pleasure to immerse myself in.

I found the story to be captivating, the author's imagination is breathtaking at times. I got lost in the story and enjoyed it a lot! Thank you for the opportunity!

While a captivating story, this book is not for me. However, it is a magnificent book for magic lovers. it is also a great book for those who make a surprising discovery in their own lives, as it is relate able in a way (although i doubt many people will find out they are not human and can use magic). as the characters continue their journey, the reader is there the whole time, loving, hating, and even being embarrassed with the characters.
