Read this book just in time for my 20th wedding anniversary and I have all of the feels. Such a sweet and touching book. I adore the author's many drawing styles, too. The very best sort of love letter.

4 stars.
Its so nice to see a positive side of marriage. This is done sooo well! The drawings are exceptional! This is such a cute and sweet collection of drawings. This shows the playful, loving, sweet, simple side of marriage. THIS is what marriage is at its best. If I had to describe my ideal marriage, it would be like these drawings. This book is definitely a must, and I highly recommend it.

Us is a sweet tribute to the author and artist's marriage to his wife. This has definitely given me all the feels!

The different art styles throughout kept it interesting and it shows how important the small things in a marriage or relationship is.

Sweet daily sketches of daily life in their marriage. I enjoyed the variation in drawing style, but wished there was more depth to the content.

Being a doodler, the cover page drew me to this book.
Its a simple, mostly monotone illutrations of the everyday ongoings of the author's life and I could relate to few of the incidents. Its more of a coffee table book which you could flip thru. It does have few snippets of humour here and there. It would be a good conversation starter book.

This is a cute collection of pictures in the life of a married couple. The illustrations vary and are sweet. It is not entirely my cup of tea as I miss a bit of a twist but it is a perfect gift for Valentine's Day or weddings.

I was not a follower of Wiklund's work on any social media platform prior to "reading" this book, so I was not entirely sure what to expect. What I found was a beautiful collection of sketches, paintings, and even one Q-tip outline, depicting his life with his wife. His love for her. US was stimulating, inspiring and beautiful. Would definitely make a great gift for a new couple, or anyone who loves art.

I loved this soo much. I started reading and stopped only when I was done with it. Being a picture book it was a quick go through, naturally.

I loved how varying the drawings were and did such a great job in portraying the feeling of those moments that the couple and/or the author went through. And making me feel their love and respect for each other.

(The Drawings of) Us was whimsical, sweet, fun and a breath of fresh and relateable air. It was momentous. Even though it was only a hundred and fourteen pages.

I would love to have this picture book in my collection and revisit its pages when I want to feel happy.

Special thanks to Netgalley and the Publishers for this review copy.

An artist who decides to draw a picture every day for a year, and ultimately ends up documenting small moments of his marriage through a whole year. Very sweet (almost too sweet at times) and some beautiful artwork. I'd love to see a series where artists from all different walks of life decide to a picture each for a year - it'd be so interesting to see how each person approaches this type of project.

Absolutely wonderful! I didn't know about Curtis Wiklund before, but I really enjoyed this book. Now I can say I'm a fan.

After reading this graphic novel, I was really greening with envy on how lucky Jordin is because she have Curtis Wiklund as a husband. Women are all praying for someone to have like Curtis on their lives because of how he really adores and care for his wife. Apparently, this affection and love of Curtis to Jordin is vividly shown through the illustrations in this book. If only men all resembles Curtis, then women will have merry and meaningful lives. And now, I'll wait or maybe I'll seek for my very own Curtis.

This was absolutely adorable! A year of their marriage in different types of drawings. I felt like it was very original and sweet. The only thing that I felt kept it from being 5 Stars was that it depicted their marriage as all sunshine and rainbows, and not enough reality.

This book is adorable. I asked my husband if he would draw a picture a day of us too after looking at these. Too cute.

I love the sentiment behind this book. Artist and Wedding Photographer Curtis Wiklund sketched drawings of everyday moments with his wife each day for a year to create this book. And as a married woman, my heart melted as I turned the pages of each illustration. I like how Wiklund sketched things he and his wife did each day, no matter how seemingly normal or mundane they were. I smiled at the moments that paralleled my own life, like the sketches of his wife falling asleep on the couch as he worked. I was so reeled in by the adorable illustrations that I covered all of them in one sitting. I would have loved to see more context with the illustrations, though. For example, I know there is a story behind that ticking time bomb illustration--I have lived that scenario several times over. All in all, I can't wait to see more work from this artist.

Thank you Netgalley for sharing this ARC with me for review.

Curtis Wiklund makes his living as a photographer, but he accepted his wife's challenge to sketch their marriage every day for a year. The resulting collection is Us, a wonderfully heartwarming look at Curtis and his wife Jordin's life together as newlyweds.

The illustrations range from rough sketches to lovely watercolors. Mostly they are black and white line drawings. As simple as the drawings are, they capture the couple's friendship and intimacy. Curtis shows his deep affection for Jordin with these drawings. I don't know this couple at all, but seeing their young love portrayed here made me want to go do something fun with my wife, to give her kisses, or to snuggle on the couch.

Maybe it's wrong to appreciate a book more for how it makes me feel than for the actual content. But I have a feeling Curtis, a wedding photographer, would not object to my saying Us inspired me to love my wife of 25 years like a newlywed.

The story behind this book is adorable! The fact that the author-artist drew something every day to complement his wife's challenge and then gave it to his wife as a gift is equal parts unique and cute.

I really loved all the plethora of various forms of art filled to the core with everyday love of a husband and a wife. But somewhere in between, the chaotic mess got to me, I mean as soon as I would adjust to one form of artwork and started to appreciate it, the book moved to another. In such a short collection, I think that shouldn't have been done. Special shoutout to the stick figure artwork though -that was my favourite!

The ending was overflowing with love and that last sketch with the boys blew my mind! All in all, this was a quick, short and completely adorbs read!

This was a cute collection of drawing that the author did when he decided to join his wife on a 365-day project. His part of the project was to draw something every day, whatever it was. Naturally, what came of the project were very real portrayals of married life, and life in general. Some good days, some bad days, and some that are just there. I really enjoyed it and more than anything, it just made me feel good and brought a smile to my face.
