Description
Cara Manzoni flees Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, to the Jersey Shore after catching her fiancé cheating with her hairdresser. Problem is she has no clothes, no money, and no place to go. This is not where she thought she’d be at almost thirty years old.
Ryan Garridy is a diehard commitment-phobe, struggling to keep his Italian restaurant afloat. The last thing he wants is a high-maintenance woman in his life. So when Cara runs out on her check and then faints at his feet the next day, he knows she’s trouble with a capital T. It still doesn’t stop him from offering her a job and a place to stay. There’s something feisty and compelling about this woman, and no matter how hard he tries, he just can’t seem to say no to her. Or her Sicilian meatballs.
Since Cara has sworn off men, it’s no big deal that Ryan is sexy and charming—until she decides the only way to stop obsessing over her ex is to obsess over someone new. Ryan makes her forget about her ex a little too well, but falling for him could set her up for a whole new world of hurt.
One man, one woman, both wounded by love. Will they be able to overcome their demons and learn to trust again? If the undeniable passion between these two doesn’t keep them together, the mouth-watering food will.

A fun and quick read about restaurant owner Ryan and his new cocktail waitress Cara. Wish they would have added a few recipes, as many of the Italian foods made me hungry to try them. Both had issues to work through, and both grew into their love. I enjoyed this book, and had trouble putting it down. Highly recommend this book and author. If you are looking for a light read, this is the one. |

A romance that will keep you turning the pages. The characters were so well done you wanted to see what happens in the end. An author I will be checking out again. |

This story was only ok for me, I thought it was a little bit dragged out. Cara and Ryan actually began to irritate me, so much self pity and complaining it just annoyed me. The most interesting character to me was Dino, I would have liked to see more of him. |

This was a such a fun read. After Cara walks in on her fiancee and her hairdresser she takes off to the Jersey shore where she used to vacation as a child. When her ex-cancels her credit card leaving her with no money she orders a large meal at a local restaurant knowing shes unable to pay when Ryan the owner catches up with her later he realises she needs some help and moves her into an empty apartment above the restaurant. These two have tons of chemistry shes still hurting over her ex and he's a bit of a man whore. This was a super read you have to give this one a read you will not regret it. |

The characters were ok and came alive on the page, and the storyline was quite entertaining. I bit predictable but a nice easy read. The romance worked out fine in the end, which was probably on the cards from the first time they met, but still enjoyed the book and will read others by this author. |
