Description

Seduction and sex can be pretty funny when both sides play dirty!

What would you do if the gynecologist subbing for your regular doctor turned out to be your old high school crush?

Successful psychologist Dr. Jennifer Monroe does what any normal, well-adjusted woman would do. She makes an excuse to send the doctor and nurse from the room, dives into her clothes, and flees!

Unfortunately, her running away makes conscientious Dr. Matt Penrose conclude she has some kind of sexual hangup. For her health, he's determined to refer her to another doctor, but she refuses to take his calls. He's determined to talk to her so he can suggest counseling for what he thinks are emotional problems.

Jennifer plans to never see him again. Dallas is a big city. What are the odds that she'll ever run into him? Even money when Fate lends a hand.

When Jennifer and Matt meet at a charity gala, he earnestly urges her to seek professional help. Jennifer is incensed that he thinks she's some frigid old maid--and that he doesn't remember her. All the old high school resentment floods back, fueling her determination to teach him a lesson he won't soon forget. You know what they say about payback!

Kids play doctor, but these doctors play seduction games, and they're playing for keeps. Will Matt recognize Jennifer? Will Jennifer lure him into her bed? This payback is smoking hot!

Seduction and sex can be pretty funny when both sides play dirty!

Advance Praise

I loved this book! If you haven't read JUST ONE LOOK, you're missing out on a great story. It's humorous, sexy to the max, and just plain entertaining. ~ Amazon Reviewer

This was a wonderful story; saucy heroine, confident hero; Sweet love, vicious revenge, happy ending. (I'm always disappointed with an unhapppy ending.)  Despite a long work day ahead of me, I ended up not sleeping all night for addiction to this story. ~ Sylvia F. Ayala, Amazon Review

Though it has what might seem a somewhat cliché premise, Just One Look by Joan Reeves was a surprisingly fun and flirty romantic comedy that was hard to put down. ~ B. Beard. Amazon Review

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I loved this book. It was romance, comedy, snarkiness, and just plan great all in one book. When Jennifer realizes that her crush from High school is her new gynecologist she takes of as soon as she can. What follows is nothing short of awesome. Thank you for allowing me to read this and write a review.

This is a funny story about a female psychologist Dr. Jennifer Monroe who goes for her gynecologist appointment and finds out that her regular doctor is on vacation. She will be seen by her doctor’s new doctor. Only that when she is told the name Penrose she dismisses it because her crush from high school had the same name but it could not be him. When he walks in and she recognizes him she grabs her cloths and flees the area. This now begins her avoiding his calls. That is until a charity ball and wouldn’t you know it he is there. Once he tracks her down and begins to talk to her she realizes that he still does not remembers her and he thinks that she has a sexual hang-up. Going with his story she asks for his help and to keep it hush, hush because she would not want her colleagues to find out. Here is when the story funny part begins to overtake and it really does become a comedy until you get towards the end. Overall this is a good book with good characters.

Fun second chance at love romance

Joan Reeves did a great job with this humorous take on this sexy second chance at romance. Jennifer and Matt were together in high school until misunderstandings and distance separated them. Their cute "meet" years later was a great starting point for this couple that's meant to be together. Well written with some fun secondary characters this was a very upbeat enjoyable read.
I received an advance reader copy from Netgalley and chose to leave a review.

A sexy romp of a romantic comedy where payback is smoking hot and funny!

This was the first book that I have read by this author and I loved this book. It was romance, comedy, snarkiness, and just plan great all in one book. The main characters get up to some heavy teasing and sexual innuendo that will have the reader squirm and laugh out loud and want more.

Looking forward to more books by Joan Reeves!
