A secret kept for more than twenty years. A daughter intent on finding the truth...

In 1994, twenty-one-year-old Evelyn Taylor left England to backpack around Australia. When she stopped off in the dusty outback town of Kununurra, she never expected to fall in love with the place - and the people. But Joe Sullivan captured her heart, and when her fun-filled year in Australia came to an end, saying goodbye to him was the hardest thing she’d ever done.

In 2017, Evelyn’s daughter, Libby, embarks on her own Australian adventure. Grief-stricken following her mother’s death, she’s determined to find the father she never met.

Little does she know that digging up the past will be more complicated than she ever imagined.

2o years previously, Evelyn Taylor returned to England suddenly after backpacking in Australia. She had discovered she was pregnant. She never revealed to her daughter who her father was, even when she was dying of cancer. So after her mothers death her daughter Libby, riddled with grief became determined to discover who her father was.. She set off for Australia and after many fun adventures with fellow backpackers landed in the same town her mother had discovered. What she discovered was quite unexpected. Skillfully written and a great insight to the outback.

Evelyn is 21 in 1994, when she goes on an adventure of a lifetime in Australia. She visits a number of places and makes lots of friends on the way. She is running low on cash and hears about fruit picking jobs on the farms that a lot of back packers do to make extra money. She gets a job picking pumpkins. It is hard, hot and the boss is a jerk. When she leaves and starts heading down the road a car stops and offers her a lift to Kununurra, this begins a friendship she will never forget. In 2017 Evelyn's daughter Libby goes travelling to Australia to find Joe. It was always just her and her mum. She never knew who her father was. Her mother on her death bed, mentions finding Joe in Kununurra. So Libby embarks on a similar journey as her mother did. Who is Libby's Dad? Could it be Joe?

What can I say, other than I FREAKING loved this book. If I could give it 6 stars out of 5, I would. The story had me from the beginning and it built the characters very well. The detail in the story is done very well, without it being to much. At no time did I get bored with the story and I was always wanting more and couldn't wait until I could read again. The editing is probably the best I have seen in a long time, I do not recall finding one spelling mistake, which is really rare.

Overall an awesome romance and adventure to read. I highly recommend if you are going to read any book this year, it must be this one. You will not be disappointed.

Thanks to NetGalley for a copy of this book in exchange for a review on the book. My thoughts are my own and my review is my honest opinion.

The book tells the story of the mother and the daughter in two timelines of 1994 and 2017. The initial part of book is about the mother Evelyn who backpacks around Australia till she reaches Konunurra in northern Australia. She soon meets a group of fun people and becomes fast friends with them Cam, Leslie, Joe, Kai till something forces her to leave Konunurra in the middle of the night. Libby follows her mother's footsteps to find Joe as per her mother's deathbed instruction. And the secrets unfold....
The book is written beautifully by the author, Hannah Ellis. Initially, it started as a one big party in both the time lines, then the author slowly and gradually pulled me in till I found myself fully hooked and invested into the story.
The last 20 percent of the book was well written. I read each line slowly as I didn't want the book to finish, I knew I was going to miss this book. It was not the characters which hooked me but the author's style of writing. She started with the frivolous and the writing got emotional as the book progressed, with hints of a deeper story till I reached the secret of that night when Evelyn left. And I couldn't move, I had to finish the book.
Hannah has written both the main characters as strong women but with hints of vulnerability. They are fun, bold, lovable who like a good time and when they fall in love, they fall deeply. They are both cautious in their approach but strong in their action
There are a few niggles there is a lot of drinking in the book and I didn't particularly like the pages and pages of party, drinks, and dancing. Nobody seemed very focused in their lives probably because they were all in their early 20s, still in the process of discovering life. Also I would liked the book more, if the author had developed the mother-daughter relationship a bit more. I knew there was love between them but I couldn't feel the emotion at all times.
On the whole, Ms. Hannah Ellis has done a wonderful job with this story where she has captured intrigue and mystery layered within the free lifestyle and party atmosphere.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and publisher Karan & Co. Author Solution and this is my honest and unbiased opinion.

A lovely written story. A good easy read with a gentle mystery. I loved the evocative descriptions of Kununarra and even googled to see if this place is real and it is and it looks beautiful and remote as described so wonderfully. You can sense the heat, humidity and dust as you read. A story of grief, friendships, secrets and wonderful travels. Set in the same location told in two timelines by Evelyn the mother and Libby the daughter both entice you into their story.

I received this book "Always With You" from Netgalley for my honest review.

This book is set in both 1994 and 2017 one story is of the mother and the other of her daughter. I really loved this book. I looked forward to finding out who Libby's father was. I got to see through this story a bit about Australia which was nice (don't think I could put up with the bugs and snakes and crocs though lol). I loved the story about traveling through Australia and the friendships made. This book was well written and I looked forward to reading it each day and it was hard to put down.

Life as it is sometimes known does not always fit into the box it is put, especially is there is a part missing. For Libby Taylor, that part has always been the father she knew nothing about. As her mother, Evelyn, was dying, she told Libby to find Jack Sullivan, a love form a long ago trip to Australia. Certain that Jack is her father, Libby travels to Kununurra, Australia, to find him and to learn about her mother’s time there.
Always with You tells two stories: Evelyn’s time in Australia and Libby’s journey to uncover the mystery of her father. The book is rich in descriptions of persons and places both past and current. They are woven together to form a story fo two women’s discoveries.
