I picked up The Ultimate Job Seekers Guide since I worked as a Professional Develop Coach for 5 years and I like to stay on top of emergent industry standards. In today’s competitive world, it is very important to get a leg up on other job candidates. The pages devoted to how to ace an interview are excellent. Preparing talking points and adding statements to your interview answers is a must, as the author adeptly points out. Although most people go into an interview having done their industry research, many fail to do their research on the behavioral and soft skills that that particular company is looking for. Gaining the ability to properly convey your behavioral and soft skills to the interviewer is covered nicely. I also like that the book includes a chapter on what to do after you get an offer and day one of your new job. This section is very helpful to many people and often neglected to some degree in these types of books. I would recommend this book to job seekers.

As someone who has been in employment for about seven years this book was indispensible to show how the expectations for writing a CV have changed. I have put in a request for this at my library because it was very useful and I didn't need to read the whole book to benefit from it.
