The A-Z is written for UK residents. However, this topic has always been a fascination. In particular, the growth and evolution of careers, as computers and the Internet pervade our existence.

Yes, there are more than 300 listed careers. Page formatting is well-done. However, the only way to search the book is to view selected interests via alphabetically ordering. Perhaps, in subsequent editions, The A-Z will
have other ways to search for your interests.

It is hard to review a book like this which is after all a reference book used in a particular situation. It is a career guide which provides an overall view of what is required and how to get the foot in so many sectors. For each sector or job title there is only the minimum required therefore it is not the right book for someone who has decided what to do and wants some tips but more for people who are still thinking what to do next.
Ideal for schools and libraries and anyone who gives careers advice to young people. I am familiar with the format as I actually bought the Kindle version of the previous version, this is an update.

I was curious about the various jobs that would be listed in this book, though they can easily be found on the internet unless the reader specifically needs a book that they can carry around with them.

It's the kind of book that is worth dipping into from time to time though also one that would need to be updated every few years because jobs and careers are constantly evolving.
