Description
When Northstar Security agent Justine Shelby is assigned to protect world-famous author Rosalee Kane, the last thing she wants is help from the author’s nephew, prickly but attractive FBI Special Agent Nelson Kane. Shelby is used to depending on herself and is content to work alone, but Rosalee and Kane make Shelby wish for something more. Of course, he may never forgive her if the assignment isn’t successful, and the threats are escalating.
Kane doesn’t trust Northstar Security, blaming them for his close brush with death. His first encounter with the deceptively innocuous agent doesn’t improve his attitude, but circumstances compel them to join forces. As things turn deadly and their every move is countered, Kane comes to depend on Shelby in a race against the clock to keep Rosalee alive. This book was so good that I wanted to reread it soon as I was done to see if I missed anything and to relive the amazing thrills of this novel!
Justine Shelby and Agent Nelson Kane both have similar backgrounds in a few ways but also very different in many other ways. They are brought together because of a threat to Agent Kane’s aunt.
This book was strong in every way and definitely hoping there will be a series of all of the characters in this great book.

Stanalei Fletcher is able to bring romance, suspense and fun to the pages of her NorthStar Security series. Each book and story can be read as a stand alone or part of the series. Readers will not be lost jumping in on book five. Nelson Kane is from book 4 in the series but the author is able to bring readers up to date fast without any confusion.
Justine Shelby is strong female characters and with the little background readers are able to figure out on their own why she became a Northstar Security agent. Rosalee is a lively character they readers will enjoy but get frustrated with at the same time. Its not hard to figure out the mystery side of the story but the romance is what will keep readers hooked.
Stanalei Fletcher create a fast past story that readers can enjoy during the Christmas season.

I received an ARC from Netgalley. I enjoyed this book and the chemistry created between Nelson and Shelby. Although it was obvious who was behind everything I still enjoyed the action and romance of the story.

I really do like this series by stanalei fletcher. It is long the second book I’ve read so far and I’m looking forward to more from this author and this series. It’s a really great story that I did enjoy from start to finish and I would recommend this book to everyone

Super addition to the Northstar Security series I have really enjoyed this series and this one did not disappoint.While I really liked Kane and Shelby and just loved the chemistry they had but were trying to ignore it for me Rosalee made this book for me she was such a wonderful character you cannot help but love her.A super read it held my interest all the way through you are going to want to get comfy because you won't want to put it down
