If you're looking for a new book to read your child at bedtime, this is a pretty cute option. Based on a song written by the author for when his kid wouldn't sleep, it's pretty funny for adults, but also cute. The versus are all about different things that have happened while trying to get his baby to sleep and how desperate for sleep he became. The verse reminds baby how much they're loved and that a parent would do anything for their children. The illustrations go with the words and are cute enough, but the words themselves are what make this book worth it. It also includes links to find the actual song I'd you'd prefer to listen to it instead of reading. Again, this is just basically a cute bedtime read.

I would like to thank the publisher, author, and Netgalley for providing me with a copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is a cute enough bedtime story, with actual situations included. The book shows a very tired father trying to put his child to sleep by singing to him/her. He uses the situations to add to the song. The illustrations are sweet and the text is rhyming with a cute cadence. I wish there would be a CD included so you could hear the song as well. This would make a nice gift for a baby shower or to give parents when their babies are born. I received a copy of this book from the publisher via Netgalley.

This was a really cute bedtime story. I think children will enjoy having it read to them as much as adults will reading it to children. It is very sweet and personal from a father to a daughter. It reminded me a lot of the movie Coco which deals with something similar near the end of the book.

Weep! I loved this! What a beautifully written lullaby. The illustrations are murky and was my only reason fro dropping a star, However, I did thoroughly enjoy the story/illustration was a father figure. I feel, and often hear from my husband, that we do not see enough in children's book. Really adorable musical edition to any child's bookshelf.
