Description

Dragon Hunter Wanted:Sword supplied. No experience necessary.

One moment, I was a normal (if somewhat germaphobic) math teacher getting ready for summer vacation. Then my sister died in a pile of black ash, leaving me with a sword... and her destiny as dragon hunter. It turns out there's a whole other world out there filled with demons, dragons, and spirits. Now my job is to protect mortals - and I haven't got a clue what I'm doing.

Then there's tattooed hotness Ian Iskander. Part dragon hunter and part demon, Ian's got some seriously creepy business associates and keeps trying to steal my sword. So why do we keep getting lost in hungry, crazy-hot kisses? Ian is the only person who can help me figure out who - and what - I am. But trusting a half-demon is dangerous... because when you play with dragon fire, someone always gets burned.

Veronica James, had no idea that her dying, half-sister Helen, was anything, but human, until she turned her into a dragon hunter. Not only did the flesh-tearing bite send Veronica’s OCD into overdrive, it hurt, a lot. Her half-sister did apologize, but still.

Although Helen was weak and dying, she was able to pass, onto Veronica, her first mission as a dragon hunter. She was to save a battered woman with two children, from harm. The assignment sounded simple enough, especially, with Veronica’s newly acquired dragon abilities and sword. The problem was, however, that Helen died before telling her who the woman was. In addition, to that important information tidbit, Veronica didn’t have a clue about being a dragon hunter. She also, unfortunately, left her sword in the alleyway where Helen died. When Veronica went to retrieve the forgotten sword, she found another dragon hunter, Ian Iskandar, stealing it. Veronica didn’t know at the time, that the dragon hunter she was fighting, would become the love of her life and mentor.

Ian Iskander had a mission to accomplish. Unfortunately, it involved Veronica James, the battered woman Veronica was trying to save, and Anzo, the demon lord he was bound to. Ian tried not to fall in love with Veronica, because not only would his crazy complicated life become impossible, it would be dangerous for Veronica.

I thoroughly enjoyed this humorous and engaging book. The characters are colorful and quirky, the dialogue witty, and the crazy situations, very funny. I especially enjoyed the hysterical banter between Veronica, and the dragon hunter, who stole her heart, Ian. If you enjoy, humorous paranormal romance novels, you’ll love, Memoirs of a Dragon Hunter.

I received a copy of this book for a fair and honest review. This book had all kind of little surprises that I did see coming. The fact that Ronnie has OCD and it make her actions a little odd at times. It took a little for me to get used to Ian for I did not see his personality shine under a little later into the book. I am not sure if they work as a couple. I will have to see how that goes when the second book comes out. I did think that it was a big jump from math teacher to dragon hunter. It is kind of cool for Ian to only be half demon. That sets up for a lot of drama. Can't wait to see what is going to come next for Ronnie and Ian.
