Adam Boustead who wrote Dragon Fireside Tales obviously has a talent for story telling. Of all the stories, WereWoman was my favorite. I would like to read a full length book about her. I enjoyed the stories immensely. Great imagination makes for great reading. I received this book from Net Galley for an honest review.

I have bumped into this book completely incidentally. It is not an ARC but I got my copy of NetGalley. I thought: 'huh, I like that cover... it has a vintage AD&D PHB vibe - I can dip into something that like that for a change'.

Not sure what the publisher or an artist (or the author) were thinking about - but this cover has nothing to do with the contents of the book. No connection whatsoever.

Instead, you get a compilation of (very) short stories and a couple of poems really nicely written, vivid and engaging language - got me hooked straight up. Most of the stories are set in the modern time with prominent themes of urban mystery / fantasy and horror. But again, brilliantly executed! This book reminded me the most the short stories you typically get from Neil Gaiman or mythos of H. P. Lovecraft. I have gulped this (admittedly short) book in a day.

This looks like a very small publication and deserves all the love it can get. 5*. Check it out!

An interesting whimsical and sweet and well as spicy and sour compilation of dragon tales created by the author to dance through. This is not the usual dragon tales but his rendition showing a different from in many cases along with insights to peoples feelings and soul. Definitely not what I was expecting but was also spicy chicken stew for the soul.
