This was my first book from Luanna Stewart... The story though predictable was good . It is a second chance at love story.
Sybil & Max were engaged to be married but due to unfortunate circumstances the wedding doesnt take place... after ten years they meet again..

Sybil has become a strong women managing her prospering farm , finances, life . the only thing she has not experienced is the physical love with a man..Max has prospered & has his own sugar plantation,he doesnt have any interest in marriage ... Sybil proposes him for a affair ... how this two people cope up with there feelings , relationship & find love is the story..

Luanna has a simple writing style , her characters are well defines , placed...the pace of the book is fast ...the women portrayed very sensible, strong, bold, smart , hardworking with a intelligent head on her shoulders , broad minded .

Overall a good book ...i would recommend it , also would like to read more of her work..

Two stubborn and strong willed people engage in a battle to see who could seduce the other first. Phooey has become my new favorite word. It is fun to see a strong female character who still maintains her femininity, wit and sense of humor amongst all the things that go wrong in her life. She grabs life by the horns and fights to get her man which she succeeds in doing.

I received a copy of this book thru Netgalley. The story revolves around the return of Max to England and in the process encounters Sybil to whom he was engaged to about nine years ago. At that time he had bern captured by pirates and did not complete the wedding contract. Sybil who is now 29 years old gas decided she wants to know what it feels like to physically love a man and sets about to seduce Max. Eventually they marry but not before a lot of misunderstandings occur and they almost lose each other. The book is a good read.
