Description

Deep in the woods of Central Pennsylvania, a beautiful teen girl is missing. The police in the little town of Renfro have no clues. Finally, they must call on a young autistic man, Aspen Winkleman, for help. Aspen has psychic powers. Will he be able to find the girl? If he does find her, will she be alive?
Aspen encounters many adventures in Renfro, and many dark secrets. Most of all, he encounters people who greatly fear change. How will they react to someone like Aspen, a man who eats with toothpicks, always wears a rain jacket, and cleans his sneakers every day?
This story traces the history of an African American farm family. It also includes a gangsters, the Klan and Pennsylvania moonshiners. It's a lively, quick mystery read with a touch of local History added.
